Wow! I feel like I just stepped back in time! I graduated in 1972. My mom had the Butterfly gold Corelle dishes. And lots of the tulip. You did a surpurb job!
My wife bought our first cookbook in 1985. It was Betty Crocker New American Cooking. We were very broke back then and it was a big expense. It’s very used with food stuff all over it however I’d never part with it. I lot my best girl to cancer last July. I just made the apple cake recipe from this book last month and shared it with our girls ( both in their 30’s). They totally remembered momma making it for them. Cooking and cookbooks are a family treasure and tradition. They are both now making the apple cake for their children. 🤓❤️
Gorgeous I love it, my home was build in 1963 and I style it as a dinner, love the good finds you found at thrifting. Love the curtains. Thanks for sharing 👍
I found the dispenser the same day also very cheap 😊 Its a charity sale they have once a year and everything is always so cheap because if they don’t sell stuff they have to pay to take it to the dump. Because of COVID they haven’t been able to have it but hopefully next year, I have found some insane deals over the years 😊
Thank you! I’ve been so blessed to keep stumbling across prices from that era for relatively costs. I absolutely love that cookbook I was so happy the day I found it 😊
This kitchen is everything, I live for some 70s vibes! So cute. My mom had some spice of life stuff.✌🏼why have a frog everybody has I like the one you have it’s unique! 😁
It looked like my grandmas kitchen during the 1980s. She pre made her Breakfast and dinner then put it in the freezer. She would pop her food in her toaster over when making breakfast or dinner. She would buy a new toaster oven once a year if she needed a new one or not. lol I suppose she threw her old toaster oven in the garbage. I was a teenager and not to many teenagers pay attention to details. She died in 1988 from cancer. I would like to think she enjoyed the 8 years she had before she come down with cancer. But I think she was lonely.
Aww my grandmas kitchen was still very 70s too when I was a kid in the 80s I loved it! I was so sad when she remodelled in the early 90s lol So sorry about your grandma I lost my grandma in 92 and it still hurts ❤️
It's so cool that you did this as a renter! So many people feel like they can't do anything until they own their place. I bought the foil and plastic wrap holder you have at the thrift store, but my rolls of foil and wrap didn't fit it, so I gave it back to the thrift store.😫Do you use yours? Where do you get the foil, etc.?
Oh that’s too bad!! Yes I do use it, the size I normally buy fits. For a long time I had most of my vintage things in boxes “waiting” then a few years ago I thought I really didn’t want to wait until I bought a house. Although I’m super excited to buy a house hopefully this year and I will have lots to film! Thanks so much for watching 😊
Wow I really love your kitchen. I'm a reseller so I have a lot of the items that you have in your kitchen. Although I'm debating whether I want to part with them or not, especially after seeing your video. I have never seen a Betty crocker toaster oven I like that. Just picked up two of the Betty crocker recipe cards yesterday one green and one orange $5 a piece. Well done subscribe.
Congrats from Italy. Im looking for such decor for my home. Im a lover of American tv series 80s/90s/2000s, and i always see this kind of decor in those tv series, so for "nostalgia" i wanted to recreate this kind of enviroment in my home). But here in Italy people dont understand what i mean (in truth, they think im crazy, lol) and so for me its extremely hard to find someone who can help me... but overall its just impossible to find such decor and objects. Do you have some good suggest? Thanks.

My grandma had the butterfly gold when I was growing up, so nostalgic 😊
Deborah very nice compliment from the real deal. What a great year to graduate. I was a little kid in the 70s and loved it.
I was born in 1971 and I love the way you have decorated your kitchen. My mom has that Betty Crocker cookbook and it's my favorite cookbook ever.
Thank you 😊

The chrome paper dispenser?! Omg!!!!

I found the dispenser the same day also very cheap 😊 Its a charity sale they have once a year and everything is always so cheap because if they don’t sell stuff they have to pay to take it to the dump. I’m a reseller too and sometimes it’s tough, what to sell what to keep, I’m always afraid I will regret selling something 😂

You did a perfect job! Looks like a movie set. We are currently outfitting a 1920's inspired kitchen.
Thanks! 1920s that’s cool 😊
