I understand they do these freestyles with the intention of catering to the crowd's wants (seeing signature moves) but I do wish they'd experiment more. Still great freestyles tho! I do feel like Larry's trying some new things sometimes
Ken Inao i think at this point they arent going to change their styles much ( although I really wish Laurent would...this Diva bullshit he seems stuck on blows). I hope that Larry doesn't change his style anymore but i realize his footwork was being overlooked.
Da BoogieMonstah I don't mind diva Lau lol, but realistically speakin probably so. There's really no incentive for them at this point to change their style I guess considering how much they've acheived. The only people they'll probably please are naysayers in the battle community that say they're repetitive or aren't hip hop, and even then they'd prob change only a small portion of people's mindsets so it's not in their best interest to do so...
I think it depends on the atmosphere. (at least for lau) cause sometimes he kind of just only do his signature stuff and have his diva vibe to him and other times he just unlocks the inner beast in him.
tbh I feel like if they started battling again it will really push them to another level.
I honestly dont mind the diva mode either...i dance like that sometimes too cuz chicks love it. I mean LOVE it lol. But now thats become his style. I miss the eDiT twitch mode Laurent
Someone commented in another video that Laurents style changes depending on his hairstyle. I thought it was just over analysis bullshit at first but then i started paying closer attention and realized he is far more diva than beast when his hair is in long twists; way more gangsta and more krump when he has the mad professor afro; and a combo when he has the big afro
Da BoogieMonstah I think we all universally miss twitch mode Lau haha, but again there are those that will definitely call him out for being even more repetitive should he ever return to that style so he's gonna disappoint a good amount of people with whatever path he chooses sadly.
Yeah you just have to have good eyes to notice, most people I notice only see their big moves but rarely pay attention to their transitions or connecting moves.

Vocal performer Candice Pillay, recorded this track together with the L brothers on a remix of the original song - Travis Scott - ooo nana. Why there was no official release - I don't know. I found her on Instagram and wrote to her, but she did not answer. Sorry for the mistakes, I'm from Russia)

I don't know if it's Just me, but I really feel like Larry now became the more beastie of the two, while Laurent turned more majestic than crazy. IMO I really like the evolution. Larry is shining way more than before
Rubik the Problem Solver: You obviously don't know Larry nearly well enough, as he's always been immeasurably better than Laurent, even to Laurent's own admission.
Larry has achieved things in 7 to Smoke battles and that last beatboxing instrumental-ridden tournament (FairPlay Camp), that Laurent simply was not able to, and for good reason.
Larry is heads and shoulders more evolved and sagacious than Laurent has proven to be. I've done vociferous research on the two and know damn near everything about their respective styles and inspirations.
+Quazi Zahran Ahmed No need to be that harsh on me. What makes you think I "obviously" don't know well both Laurent & Larry ? Larry, as I haven't said before, is IMO the more eye candy to watch dance and my personal favorite (and I ain't saying this just to join your side, Larry is a joy to watch !). His MJ vibe and clean moves are out of this world, and his class is unmatched ; however, he tends to rely too much on his signature moves than trying to incorporate then in variations of it or as a flow for a next move. In battles where he does NOT : for example the Strife battles, the RBH competition .... These are arguably his best battles (at least without his brother) IMO and that must have depended on the song chosen, the overall attitude he had that day, or the level of expectations the crowd had on him.
Laurent is a totally different creature ; more of a Wildcard : Crazy, Unpredictable, full of energy, and at times majestic with his moves. Where Larry depends on precision and body control (more to my liking), Laurent dominates the scene with swift, elastic, and jaw dropping moves (His creativity and innovative moves are his strengths). Although Larry does show some beast rounds at times, Laurent does not play around at ALL when he’s in that mode.
However, circa 2015-2016, Laurent started losing some steam even though he still kept a fair amount of his wild side. Maybe due to the age closing in to the thirties or the little wounds he got through the years because of his wild attitude and demanding moves (physically) forced him to tone it down : going more mellow, more majestic. He was impressive at times this year, but his battle against paradox showed a pretty lazy Laurent. Does that indicate a decline in quality from him ? Only the future will tell …
At least Larry understood that he needed to step it up and explore more other moves this year to stay at the top, and he remains a favorite of mine. So let’s hope Laurent can overcome his 2016 self and evolve into a slightly different beast. His creativity is impressive but maybe it’s his physical condition that is incapacitating him lately …

Do you confuse Larry and Laurent? Larry was the one who had a really detailed and tight 'robotic' dance style with lots of crazy moves and an insanely beat precision, while laurent had a long time finding his new more acrobatic style he is now getting more familiar with.
