Same I love the vhs format I don't know why but it's always been more reliable to me wish they would bring them back especially because it's retro it's just the awesome nostalgia. Maybe one day. Also we have had are vhs tapes for years and they still play like new and we watch them still all the time I always clean the heads in my vcrs my self so they are always clean.
@@FunkSkunkOfficial if anything I’d have to agree with you although there was a time where they try reviving VHS for HD TVs but that didn’t last long when HD DVD existed and of course it took over VHS

I've seen a Toshiba with those components, about 20" something i think. also i've seen a Philips and an identical Emerson that had DVD and VHS that was made my OEM Funai.
Still haven't seen one? Why do you want video evidence? Do you doubt any still work? I just got a similar model to the one in this video and will test the VCR/DVD.
Nice tv I like the crt tv screens more they look nicer to me especially for retro gaming they even made hdmi compatible crt TVs at the end of there life and honestly they have an amazing picture but of course they went out of style because there too heavy I also like how on these older TVs they put the speakers in the front of the tv so the sound is going toward you. I live in a house with a lot of people and they say my tv is too loud but it's only on 15.
I have the same tv I believe; mfg. 2003 model PV-DF273 . I was going to get auction company to take the cabinet and the tv to auction because it's so heavy to move, but they said if its not a flat screen they are not interested and the cabinets don't do good. I told mom I will take the tv and took the entertainment center with the 3 drawers and cut out were the tv sat and reattached the top to the 3 drawer section and made a nice piece of furniture out of it. LMFAO I am kind of glad the auction thing did not work. The only problem I am having is moving that heavy ass tv around in garage lol
I know this is probably going to be a massive long shot Being that this video is older but what kind of universal remote are you using Cause I also just pick one of these up
I was going to get this tv there was one on Facebook for free near me to play retro games it looked all good until I saw no component that was a deal breaker for me and I guess it paid off because 2 weeks later someone posted a 27 inch sony trinitron which I decided to pick up instead and is now my main crt it has component and s video.
I also found this model by the side of the road,buy if it wont read dvds it could mean the laser gone bad/lens is dirty??? Because if it's just dirty I'm down to open this up and give it a clean

@@leonardopacheco1915 Thanks! Yea these TVs are good for what you want one for. Only downside is if the VHS or DVD player need work, or even a cleaning, itll be a pain to get to, obviously because you'd have to take the tv apart.
Somebody gave me mine. Got the remote too, but can't figure out how to adjust picture. People will GIVE you old TVs. Ask around in fancy neighborhoods.

Brought one from Goodwill several years ago for $20. Still works great for playing retro emulators on my Wii.

Vhs also is great for horror movies

I don't think I was using an actual universal remote. I think I was using my LG G2 phone cause it's got a universal remote app.

Could be just dirty. If cleaning it doesn't work then it's probably dead.
