I do somewhat regular live shows with up to five cameras and a director, whom I've been pestering for months to ditch the atrocious WhatsApp group call with bluetooth earbuds in favor of the Solidcom C1. And now, since the base station allows for XLR PGM input, it makes even more sense because the operators could hear the audio feed and react accordingly. Sadly, the director is insanely stubborn and cheap, so it'll be a while before we get quality intercom abilities. 😩
Great video! If I wanna send a program audio via the XLR PGM input, does it take one of the channels or is it still possible to have two different channels for two groups of camera operators?
A bit late to the party but maybe you can answer me this: with the base station, can only the hardwired headset use the AB function or any headset after you set it up with the base station? And if so, does the hardwired headset have to be connected for this to work (so just connect it and forget it) or could you just leave that in the box if you’re not actually having anyone at the base station?
Great insights on the subtleties of human communications… and secretions. Lol. 👍

I hear you. Push and explain the shortfalls when you can without being a pest ;)
