Hi Allison, love the layout and the stitching. I also have heaps of beach/sea photos. Thanks for the tip on the Nuvo drops sea breeze colour. Will have to look for it. Thanks for sharing. Jeanette, New Zealand.
Thank you! I love nautical too. I actually picked out the paper pad first because I loved it, but had yet to use it and really, really wanted to. I have tons of beach photos so it wasn't hard to find photos to fit!
Thank you! I keep meaning to do a video on journaling strips because so many people ask, but then I always forget. I need to put that on my "must do" list! For the program I use I make a text box the width I want my strips to be and then type. After all proofreading and spell checking, I go through and add a space between each line of text. The spacing makes it so much easier to cut them out! After I print, I cut my vertical cuts first on both sides of the text, about 1/8" away from the text. If you do your vertical cuts first, leaving the whole length of the paper below your journaling, it makes it easier to cut out the individual strips because you have plenty of paper to hold while positioning in your trimmer. Then I go through and make my horizontal cuts. I line up the top of the text on my trimmer and cut, then line up the bottom of my text with the trimmer and cut and continue for each individual strip. I've also heard of some people using programs like Excel for journaling strips. I'm going to do a little research on that and see how they are doing it!
Thank you so much, Kim! Yes, I'm finishing up the materials for the next class and we are working out the dates this week. I'll be announcing all the details soon. I'm so excited to do another one!
Love these! I watched this twice and didn't catch if you mentioned where those large flower embellishments for the last layout came from. Do you recall?
I like this use of 6x6 paper!
Thank you! There are such fun papers to work with!

Love this Allison! Could you talk a little more about how you space your journaling strips in your word processor and cut and adhere them?

I already have an idea of some pictures I could use for this technique. Thanks for all the inspiration! I love everything you do!
Yay! You're welcome! And, thank you!!

Thank you, Christine! I'm not sure which layout you are talking about. There is just one in this video and it doesn't have flowers.
Allison, what font do you use for your word strips? Thx
My go-to journaling font is Century Gothic. It's been my favorite forever!
@@allisondavis4sg944 it’s a great font. Thx
What paper did you use for the background? I’ve been looking for something similar.
It’s a patterned paper from My Mind’s Eye, I think. I can’t remember for sure!
