Been boating all most of my life , I’m 75 and have been out most of the inlets in south florida , those were more 4/5 foot and Jupiter is one of the better inlets to go out of , u want a challenge go to boynton inlet or haulover even Sebastian for a real test . Beautiful boat
Guy running a center console through chop will tell you the seas are 4 to eight. Guy running a downeast right next to him will.tell.you the seas.are 2 to 4.
Try Boynton with it... that will be impressive. I take my 23 through this inlet with one 250 Yamaha. More skill is needed but the cat is a bit too expensive for what it has.
i truly understand camera’s not picking up true wave height but a 6-8’ at rest would of been noticeable. cool boat quad engines aren’t necessary on a 30’ cat.
Those are not 6’ - 8’ seas. I live right here in Palm Beach County and have been fishing this area most of my life (I’m 66 yo). I know what 8’ seas look and feel like. Would like to have seen some drone video of that. Nice boat, but way too pretty for me. Don’t want to spend my life cleaning and polishing that thing.
3’-4’ but still a nice Cat. Would be a really nice fishing rig for Hilo Hawaii. No need all those motors or fancy cushions though. Hope it’s flush deck self bailing... Twin Verado V10 400’s would be magic
Perfect set up for me. Not to long but what I really wanted was a min of 12' beam on a shorter cat...and it leans in the corners. How is the ride vs say the 34 costa w their almost 12 beam...another fine boat just too much coin for me.
Come for a ride you can not compare the costs to the Blue Cat. The 7 step hull is far superior to the costa and the handling is way better. To turn a costa you have to cheat the motors and throttles.
When i was in my 20s i had an amazing time boating south florida so now im 54 and i decided to get another boat. I guess im old cause theyre a pain in the butt and boating and fishing is boring now. I sold it within a year
Does BlueCat have the engines mounted so the tops are tilted in slightly? It doesn't look like they are (or at least not much). I know Insetta does that with their 35 to get it to heel properly when you turn.
@@saltsurf7859 Thanks for the reply, like I said it didn't LOOK like it. That would be a pain anyway with quads! I know I'm going to have fun running through ideas on how your designers worked this magic LOL
6-8 footers would launch that cat and throw you on the deck at 35 knots. I have been in a 30’ cat in 8’+ waves and it was the beginning of Gillian’s island. Women on the boat were screaming death screams in terror that we were going to die. 3 very experienced captains on the boat at the time.
I wasn’t really impressed with it running of shore. Definitely think other v bottom I been on run the same. BUT will say they way that turns is very impressive! I definitely want to ride on one of these.
I've been outta Jupiter been out of Morehead City Been out of Fire Island New York Fishing the canyons. I didn't see any 10 footers. I mostly saw when you guys were stopped. I have a 25 Outrage I love the boat it always amazes me. And I've had a few big center consoles. Have to admit though. There's not many days that I would go out of Jupiter 40 miles an hour. The boat might take it, but my body couldn't.
Does anyone know of a center console 21-25', with a head (doesn't have to be big), for under $130k? Or am I searching for a non-existent unicorn? It doesn't have to be brand new.
Has anybody else been able to find a price on these bad boys? Just pure curiosity, im sure they are quite pricey but the blue at website and even boat trader wont give any numbers unless you let them email you and crap
I am a Florida Native and have been boating my whole life. There are aleways lifevest on-board and everyone is shown where they are at in case of an emergency but I,nor anyone I know, have never put on a lifevest when going out on the ocean!
Waves/actually none-it’s just choppy……. are perhaps 1 foot to 3 foot max! Nothing dangerous at all, just normal conditions. In fact at normal speed, not flying out the inlet at high speed, the speed they carry going out the inlet mouth is what creates the potential danger.
@@davidwarren3433 I saw that I run a 35 out of sarasota siests key for a guy we just got back from a 180mile offshore 40hrs burned 500 gallons caught 2 swordfish a 300lbs blue marlin mahi wahoo queen red and mutton snapper blue lines yellowedge and a snowy epic trip epic ride I have about 350 hrs behind the helm

We’ve been running haulover for the last 6 days
Ok Karen
ya cats dont werk in 10ft seas that close DOAH
Was looking forward to seeing it come back through the inlet at speed. I guess the heavy following sea wasn't 'camera worthy'.
Nothing beats a Cat in the rough stuff. Nothing
Incredible performance! Love that interior color, baseball stitching, and contoured design of the seats. Beautiful boat.
We agree!
I would prefer a different color upholstery, perhaps white with matching aqua piping….would look better!
TOTALLY NUTS! Amazing Cat... And I'll bet that the price is insane as well!
They didn't give us a number but if you reach out to them at info@bluecatusa.com they'll be able to give it to you.
Can this type of Catamaran have a sea keeper?
I must be missing something, the water looks almost flat to me. Maybe the camera is somehow making the surface look calm. Great boat.
8:40 """WOW MAN""" is totally RIGHT!!!! OH MY GOSH!!! that is one AWESOME BOAT!!!! :)
Pretty calm seas. But thats a dry ride🙂
Very well designed.
I’ve been boating almost 60 years. No shame in wearing a PFD especially while under way. Nice boat. 4-6’ water.
Would love to see an immediate back-to-back test with 4 Sharrow propellers. Might be the bomb.
That’s an incredible boat.
A 30 w quads? Wtf. Twin 400’s would be plenty. The old 32 twin vee had the same beam and rolled w twin 225’s.
That’s not 6-8ft seas. That’s more like 3-5 with MAYBE an occasional 6.
Was waiting for the 6-8 footers but they never came lol
Sweet boat but I imagine people will look back at this design down the road and think it’s quite ugly. It already isn’t exactly a looker haha
That said performance is hard to beat if you’re fishing super rough water

Love these Blue cat boats! The guy in this video should have made it clearer for everyone watching, its a Florida 6-8ft with occasional 10 footer🤣
Baloney
I'd love that boat it would be perfect for me and my grandkids to go fishing on. Now I just got to hit the lottery.😊
My 16 whaler could handle in that chop more like 2-3ft seas in Hawaii 😂
Unless you were actually there, you cannot tell what the seas actually are through a camera! Lived in Jupiter, FL. for 9 years and Native Floridian.
Nothing quite as satisfying is talking trash and then being able to back it up! Would love to have one.
Thank you! 🚀💪
Silent Bob has an awesome boat!
Love those seats!
So do we!

Not blowing 30knts either, don't tell us it's the camera, ppl don't like bs
those are maybe 4ft swells and definitely not blowing what they say it is, no even white capping out.
Hahahahahah 6 to 8 no where near that
Nice boat cut the bullshit though
Ok. That music drove me crazy!!!
Very impressive 🏆👍👍

Not sure about 6 ft, but I'm empressed there was no spray period. Seemed like a dry boat.
I think I know the question but I want to make sure you can't put a sea keeper on a catamaran is that correct
Seakeeper just came out with catamaran system. Dual gyros one in each hull
Get a 38 or 43 lowel for rough water. Those things are beasts.

You were in a 30" terrible cat then.
Hitting pretty hard for a Cat. !!
Curious to see if this boat performs the same if they make a 37. I wonder if the fact that it’s a stubby 30 with 1200 Hp helps deal with wave duration
37 is coming out shortly. That was developed first and is an absolute animal with a 13’8” beam
Y when u stop the water seems like a lake ....is it because my pole in 10 inches
how fast it go with 2 500's ?? :) is that the 110 mph 30 foot BLUECAT that was at the show 2 months ago???
The Bluecat 30 with quad mercury 400 Racing outboards will go 103. You can get the 30" with quad mercury 500 Racing outboards and a little more speed.
Should have had a go pro at water level on the side
And definitely some distance videos through the rough stuff.
Great vid 👍
Any idea of their cost?
477,500

I run a Worldcat 320ec, with twin 300’s.. the Blue Cat is impressive, but you need to push it with quads??
Yes, it’s a substantially bigger boat. The BlueCat is 15,500lbs loaded up.
Doesn't necessarily need quads would be twin 600 Mercurys

The UAE did a good job on creating this. Not much to improve on.

Why would a 30 ft need 4 engines?
It’s not about need…… it’s available in twins also.
your over dramatizing the waves
Why no top speed numbers it must be slow....
Very slow at over 90+ on some models
Just bullied it's way thru boo yah 🤘
Speed is so unnecessary through shit like that. I could navigate that chop in a 17’ aluminum bass tracker
