We are really sorry for our dirty city you've mentioned, we are trying the best too to make it more cleaner but it's very very hard for the big city which has more than 10 millions of people and more than 40+ millions visitors (before covid). We are sorry again for that problem and will try our best to make it more cleaner. That's why the government already closed countless of the street vendors food around Bangkok in many roads because they couldn't control and had a lot of problems about how dirty and trash problem from them when there are too many people. Example at the new year celebration I went to the Central world to watch the fireworks at Midnight and there were about hundreds of thousands of people from all over the entire world were sitting over there on the road both local and tourists(they closed the intersection just to sit and watch the fireworks) and all of them sat there and watched and when they finished they just left everything on the road and that's the sadest part for me. Hope you have a great time here my friend.
Important piece of advice to consider when traveling through Asia: it's quite common that if you want to get somewhere they'll tell you is closed or only opened for locals. Guess what? That's not true. Khaosan road never ever closes, even on public holidays. Better to always try to make the plan at the hotel with their guidance ;) Seems to me you've missed quite a fair share of important places there (like Wat Arun, the Grande Palace, Chatuchak Market, Wat Phra Kaew, Khlong Lat Mayom (or any other floating market), Lebua Sky Bar...) so maybe consider this for your next months.

Eu vivo na Austrália . Já fui há Thailand duas vezes ! Sinceramente não gostei muito! Só acho uma coisa mal ! Vocês são Portugueses e fazem um vídeo falando inglês! Muitos Portugueses não percebem inglês! Mas a moda agora dos Portugueses é fazerem vídeos para Portugueses , e metade dos vídeos falam inglês! Eu deixei de ver vídeos de Portugueses , só vejo duas raparigas que são muito simples e falam português nos vídeos ! Só vejo vídeos Brasileiros!, e dessas duas Portuguesas ! Boa viagem!

Tip: just get a normal taxi and ask them to use 'taxi-meter' (taksi mee-taaaa). Tuktuks are wayyyy more expensive than taxis. Give them a little tip.
