I found this illuminating and so insightful. Thank you for this. I loved the movie and firmly believe it will always be a favorite of mine. I also totally get the pacing, that they earned that kiss, and it was a wonderful payoff. Think about the way he looks at her when they're standing in front of the photographs at the gallery, when they glance at each other while in the car, when they lock eyes after her breakup story and how the phone shatters that moment. I believe the audience FELT it all!
