Attention All Solicitors

All solicitors in the City of Garland, except for Religious, Political, and non-profit purposes, must apply and be background checked for EVERY person to receive a badge. Not just the business.
To get your permit, each person must complete an application. Applications can be found on our website, www.garlandpolice.com, or at the Garland Police Department located at 1891 Forest Lane. Next, turn in your application to the police department, a small headshot photo of yourself, a form of picture identification, and payment. Allow up to ten business days for the application process. Once approved an official ID badge will be issued for each person, it is good for one year.
Each solicitor must always have their issued ID Badge VISIBLE AT ALL TIMES. Do not knock on a door that has a NO SOLICITATION sign posted.
If you are a homeowner and you do not wish to have a solicitor come to your house, simply place a NO SOLICITATION sign clearly visible near the front of your door.
