@Pain Face You are right that the way it is being presented in these comments is likely made up. The closest thing I have found to the truth regarding Musashi using a wooden sword is that he once faced an opponent in a duel who used an extremely long nodachi as his preferred weapon (japanese long sword with a long hilt, typically used to dismount horsemen). In that duel, Musashi wanted a weapon that could outrange Kojiro's Nodachi, so Musashi cut the oar from the boat he arrived in into a crude training sword that was about 4 inches longer than a traditional Nodachi. His opponent was not expecting it and Musashi landed the first blow which broke several of his opponents ribs and punctured his lung, taking him out of the fight. Kojiro was a renowned swordsman, so this was probably the only way Musashi could win and live without taking greivous injuries of his own. I have not seen any accounts of Musashi going into war with a wooden sword. I think most of those tales are people mis-reading this duel, or assuming that he always fought like that. Some accounts say that Musashi's first strike crushed Kojiro's skull, but either way it was a one time thing. Musashi carried steel into battle 99.9% of the time.
He fought in 2 wars? I didnt know that... gives me goosebumps. I will learn more about him, he is truly an inspiration and many of his words I am experiencing in myself, especially when I exercise.

Tell me about it. It's driving me crazy.
All of my life I have tried to find friends and happiness in others and now I am old and realized that finding friendship in one's self is the way to have peace.
You're really killing it!! Don't slow down, you're moving to the top!

It took me about 40 years to genuinely understand this concept. It hurts a lot. Especially at first...but once you really accept it, the rest of your life will be better off.
@@andyappleton3353 I couldn't agree more , but it's weird this gets crammed into my head by everyone and I'm forced to accept it, and others often seem to mention it if I don't......., but when I do the same to say .... multiple people or family or the masses it's ironic they literally can't handle it , (I'm thinking about work or making $ at the moment which is obviously important but there are other ex's too) lol! It's so weird how nothing is what it seems these days, on or with social media especially.

Niten Dōraku~
a great philosophy for life 👍
"Truth is not what you want it to be, it is what it is, and you must bend to its power or live a lie"
You must understand that there is more than one path to the top of the mountain.
Actually, this is telling us about the adaptabillity of humans.
Most of these are worth living by! 👍👌👏
🙏
It's best to take a few years for each quote, to really grow with it, to properly digest it and to incorporate it; however, it's fun to just have them as a quick insight, forgotten instantly.
I love quotes from old people they have a charm to them that make them authentic plus wise

He sitteth alone and keepeth silence, because he hath borne it upon him.
I absolutely loved the quotes and the way they are structured. Well read with good background music.
Thank you 🙏
With a voice as deep as this man, you can influence all peoples. Yes even god.
I’m jk of course! Great wisdom and knowledge!

No worries
Most people fear this path because they are afraid of being alone, afraid of being drenched in the darkness, is it wrong that I prefer to be alone even if many want me around.
Nope
You a loser.
Great words of wisdom to follow.
Sadly, I don't have much willpower.
I easily stray from the path.
But I still appreciate the sayings and maybe someday, I'll actually follow them
The guy that plays Tatsu in the original 1990's ninja turtles movie, is a direct descendant of Miyamoto.
@Martin Čelko yes sir
Some people need others to validate what and who they are. Some need only themselves.
The narrator's voice is so deep and smooth & relaxing, may i know how i get my voice like that ?😅
Haha, thanks 😂
I wish I could listen through this voice along whole day
Please make some similar long duration videos 🙏
"Seek nothing outside of yourself..." -> *turns off the youtube video* (can't listen to the rest because it is outside of myself)
LOL. Just kidding. This philosophy is powerful when properly applied.
😂
😆😆that's a point!!!!
Inner strength is greatly important. Humility, knowing that some things are bigger than you, allows growth.
