Finally!! Someone else who loves the 17th century, it is so rare to find someone who likes it or even recognizes it, you have validated me and I thank you (I also agree the 18th century is overdone)
I've got to give a shout out to the book that first kindled my obsession with historical costume: The Chronicle of Western Costume, by John Peacock. It's an amazing visual resource for clothing from Ancient Egypt up to the 80s
So helpful! I've been wanting to get into historical clothing for over a year now but it's all too overwhelming. I think I know which books to get now and I can finally get started, thank you!
Ah yes clothing in the 17th century or if you want to get even more niche women's clothing from the English Civil War era. Some great recommendations, a little different from the usual.

I was recently gifted Patterns of Fashion 1 and 2, the 1972 editions. I was so thrilled! I squealed!
I've seen so many of these videos I lost count. Yours is one of the very best in terms of viraiety and actual reviews of the books. Thank you
Enjoyed the video very much. Hope you're feeling better soon.

Hope you are feeling better. Good book selections, I added several to my wish list.

Thanks for this review. I will use it when choosing my next book.
This works as a helpful review.
This is great, I want to look through so many of these and might have to start a wishlist of my own.
I have to ask that many times a day 😂 "🐈⬛ what are you doing?" Or, "stop doing that immediately!"
