As a 10 year Destiny veteran, I'll simply play this game at my own pace and farm the resources for the skins rather than just paying money for them (Since everyone only wants the skins)
Going to do the same, its the main thing I enjoy about these kind of games
So true putting in the work instead of cheaply getting something you want the work not only gives you more to play and enjoy but the feeling of completing what you want is the true win
I don't care for the skins, I wanted to throw some money at them for an ultimate but they made it an easy choice to not spend anything.
People probably want skins because there's no visual progression in the game, so getting one makes you look different from the hundreds of other ajax players etc.
Farm the resources for the skins? Seems like you can only farm the characters and ultimates, not skins.
I bought the battle pass. Only cash I’m dropping. But, I was planning on getting this game before I knew it was free-to-play. So, I’m not mad about $10.
As for buying the skins, I’m good at doing the grind and unlocking characters as I go.

I was so surprised when I got the ult bunny items to drop, I thought I misread it because all the RUclipsrs made it seem like it's something you have to buy, then I checked my inventory saw I really got it to drop, then I was like damn this game isn't p2w after all, then i looked at the drop rates, and 3% is insane
@TheGreyShaman tbh ultimates are nice but I don't think they are necessary. Kinda just one of those flex things if you grind it out.

@Claysthetics nah it's not my inner BDO it's my former castle clash player returning. The best thing is after I take them all to 40 I'm going to go back to the missions their items drop from to farm for the 1.5% drop chance mod XD
@ismphob I unfortunately and sadly understand thus statement.. In Warframe (When I used to play it) I bought every single Prime and Gear it leveled it. Afterwards I would just grind for the Primes and sell them out.
Overall YES you don't have to spend a dime to get Ultimates but you can buy them and save time for that's now something you don't have to do. I honestly will say it's player dependent with how much time they have and what not.
Either you whale and buy away the time or burn away time for 1 item a day..
@Xioxakura as someone who played a lot of gacha games in the past I just have the mentality of if I enjoy playing the game I'll spend money on it. TFD will never get close to the thousands I've spent in brave frontier over it's life cycle. I will be sad whenever the servers shut down tho

As a Viessa main it's crazy how scuffed her fits are. I like her bloody rose outfit but I prefer the academy fit hair
Not a fan of Nexon either and so my purse strings are tight. However what I see so far "might" be a chance at redemption. I'm having a lot of fun right now and if they continue listening to feedback, avoid adding pay2win or nerf/buff insanities I might consider dropping a buck or two on a cosmetic I like.
Yeah, I just hope they lower the prices on some things, cuz WOW 100 bucks for a prime and some cosmetics is not worth it

I wanted to toss them 20 to 30 bucks for an ultimate but it's more than double that so ya I'll just let the whales pay for me and not spend a dime.
People complain about cod but literally they do is have $20 bundles and optional $30 battle passes with well worth over the $30 value IF you play zombies and all other modes in the newer cods.. games like this truly just show how bad it can get.. I mean unless ur Ubisoft then u got MTX even in games like Assassins Creed.

I'm not surprised Nexon made some horrible trap bundles again after seeing the same in Blue Archive but it is good to know in live-service games like this that there is a F2P route for characters and the like.

I have a question about the weapon/descendant mods that you get from missions cause some have a 1.5/1% drop rate but how is that actually working? Is that once the missions completed or from the enemies?
I have gotten mission drops from enemies in other missions that I was not doing.
could be wrong, though it does seem like the mobs will drop w\e is in their pool at a low chance & you get rewards on completion. I've gotten a rare mod from a low mob before I've completed the mission
@@TV-wb2cnI think you're right. I think the table is the drop chance for those enemies in that mission and mission reward as well. It might be lower for enemies and higher for mission rewards.
The mobs can drop the rewards as can end of mission rewards
I have had fun so far. Want to supporr then somehow to keep improving and adding to it. Hope they get some worthwhile cash shops items.
If you craft ultimate bunny, can you buy the base bundle with the Apex Predator skin for a discount? That's my preferred look for bunny, as they used the Apex Predator design for a bit in the SGF trailer, which is when I first saw the game, and I though the design was really sleek and cool. I want to get it, but I don't wanna cough up 70$ for the skin.

@dimitris-oe2wu the entire pack gets reduced idk how much but it does around 5000 to 2500 I believe and no you can't buy items separately.

My frustration comes from the fact that the skin for ultimate bunny is in the bundle only, so you literally dont have the option to farm for ulti bunny and then buy the ulti skin separately.

Yup agreed the concept of expecting us to figure out again. Bonnie was a good example of how not to do things the bunny background quest cause I mean it literally just sent you to a zone and told you to search for the recording in that sub zone I mean they’re not that big sub, but there’s a lot of places that time little recording could be hiding in the game like click on it exactly where the materials come from the craft that item and then go farm them in every other game wiki on you know theoretically you have two screens for frame in the wick open on one screen you’re playing on the other screencan’t be played without wiki even things are holding hands. The descriptions don’t tell you enough data about them and you have to look it up in Nowicki and farmers have to get the data for you. That’s in the wiki.
The 3% chance for the "relic" blueprint makes this grind so much harder
for me a 6/10 from nexon is good LOL. With the updates planned and content i'm happy to play until we get our first updates and see where it takes the game. won't spend until i see promising stuff.

what's funny you can farm a lot of this stuff and second there's really no pay to win, you can spin for costumes but they don't give no bonus at all there really just paying for how nice it is

@@johnathanmcclure7043 I'd argue it's even worse in Warframe specifically when it comes to character slots. You have either three or four slots starting out for frames I believe? TFD you have ten, which still isn't a lot but at least it's a little more

I really do like the game so far. Though my biggest gripe about it the customization. All I wish is that they could at least grind for certain colors or make a dedicated color palettes we can earn in game.

Nice video and thanks for comparing it to Warframe, something I'm very familiar with having over 3k hours. This game seems to clean up some of the missed UI and other helpful info without having to leave the game.
However, I don't mind spending on the Battle Pass and probably will pre-purchase Saren because she looks like the character I'd rather play than any of the starters while I go farm for the other characters.
Thanks for this review. A good honest review is rare. I like the game. Very much korean Warframe. The only thing i still kcant quite work out is how to shape the anamorphic material in my inventory vs when defeating a boss? Idk maybe its to early and my brain just isnt working lol..

Only question i have knowing nothing about the game. Who should I play if i like a tank playstyle? Just an undying wall who can do some damage, preferably up close, but if not just whos the go to tank lol
Ajax is probably best for that, he has shields he can place down, he just doesn't have much damage with his abilities

@@Goldy01she has no shield. Because of this she has a high hp and defense modifier. Level 100 gley has 50mm defense and 20k+ health.

It is a free game man. Wtf are they going to earn money on. Everything in the game, no money needed. Gameplay wise, dungeons, bosses and so on. If you buy shit for 100 of dollars or another one does. That is up to them. This game do not throw buy this and that in your face when you play it.
I am all ok with earning money in a game that doesn't cost a single cent to fully enjoy.
Holy Smokes, after 2 days of nothing but streamers and RUclipsrs aside from maybe one other and you I’ve found someone who actually paid attention to what the game actually offers! It’s been so infuriating the amount of people not paying attention to the game and then getting upset that they don’t understand it and thus just calling it the pay 2 win cash grab of the year, when from what I’ve played it has much more to offer! I don’t spend on most f2p games I dropped a couple bucks on this game as at least a thank you for a better start than most. And to you and this channel I’ll be subscribing because the amount of misinformation is crazy everywhere else. They just want the game to die it seems like
@imspart1n375 Most of the people who want this game to fail are warframe and destiny players who have over 1000 hours and over 500 or 1000 dollars spent in either game who instantly call first descendant pay to win even tho there is no pvp but when you say you brought the battle pass for 10 bucks they'll call you a whale even tho this game is pretty much the same as warframe/destiny but much easier for a new player to get into they'll probably say the same about once human once it releases
This is such a level-headed look at the game in its entirety and actually made me change my opinion about the mechanics. The only big thing i actually hate is the stupid precision code vault mini game.
The orb phase of bosses is nothing before mighty Lepic and his arm cannon!
By the way, anyone get the feeling that these characters are kinda...."inspired"?
Lepic is a younger, non Aussie Fuse from Apex, change my mind.
Also a note on the mod upgrade items, at least at the point in the game I am now you get 2 energy activators for free. 1 when you hit 40 for the first time on a descendant and one when you beat the story and you get 3 catalyst for free. One when you hit mastery rank 12, One when you beat the last normal collosi, and one for beating 10 hard mode collosi those alone are more than enough to get anyone started with a weapon and descendant and making the pack even more worthless
knew its the warframe situation where its most likely extremely easy to get once you get the hang of the game, its a shame you cant farm the currency for the skins tho
Nothing is though if you’re going to main Bonnie, you’re gonna need that actuator to double her capacity right so you’re gonna buy that someday anyway or you’re gonna have to go farm it I think I think there’s a way to farm those things there’s a way to farm everything but you’re gonna have to have it so if you’re gonna spend70 bucks buying a caliber bundle to get that ultimate bunny why not spent 20 bucks more to get the bigger caliber bundle and buy the ultimate bunny that has an actuator and yes the extra skins

formas are 6$ potatoes are 25$ The paint system is very wierd, the paints arent quite 1 time use only, they ARE 1 time use, but they unlock the paint color for that skin, and you can use THAT paint color as much as you want on the skin forever.
I appreciate the people out there paying for this stuff cause I never will.
Not a huge fan of Nexon but I think they hit it out of the park for the most part. At least you're not forced into buying anything so it's rather fair that at least some of the shop prices are what they are if you feel like skipping.

I have unlocked 2 after bunny. All free. Maybe I will buy a pair of skin or two later. But my RNG has been good. Usually, I get my stuff on the first try.

Just realized that I put quite many hours in this. But I have a vacation now.
By the way this game right now if they never released, another bit of content would still be a live service game because it has a cash shop, cash app, providing continuing revenue even if they never put anything else in the game people would be spending money in the cash app, providing them with continuing revenuedestiny hasn’t had a bit of content for seven years but it’s still service game because it does still have a cash app selling silver for loot boxes

So question, have you actually tried crafting for example, and activator? I just started grinding to get an activator, and the grind is real, most of the materials you will come across them in the end game so farming will be minimum, except for something called conductive metallic foil, they only drop from encrypted vaults, to open those vaults you need a code analyser, these drops from random enemies, got 1 ultra, 5 precision and 5 normal in around 50 hours, when you use it and assuming you are successful at the minigame (if you fail the code is gone and you have to farm more), then you get 2 conductive foils, and you need 25.... crazy
The ultra code mini game is hard enough, specially if you are an old man like me, the thing is, you might thing its ok since there arent that many descendants anyway, problem is you also need them in guns, also, you cannot buy these from the shop either like you can in Warframe, plus formas for instance in Warframe were easy to come by, or craft.
One thing Warframe does much better is that it alternates drop chances and the relics that drop them, so instead, an item from one amorphous material would have had a 3% on lets say #34 but a 50% on #3, this helps target farming IMO. Anyway, this is really off putting for me.
You can buy energy activators from the shop, but they are massively overpriced at $24/per.
First thing I did when starting the game was went to the cash shop. OK. YES some of the cosmetics are cool they look fantastic but the prices are.... Absolute Insanity. Never seen a cash shop that Insane.
The energy activators seem to be a huge unfun grind, specifically the vaults. That and the comsumable colors are my two biggest let downs so far. Overall liking the game though
Well, certainly even the low lower level bosses are more susceptible to various elements. I don’t really pay attention because to be fair. Most of the lower level bosses can be burnt down in eight or 10 seconds no matter what you’re doing to him you can kill him in a few seconds I mean, certainly when you’re doing level losses, you’re going to need to build into whatever their weaknesses select the character that has a natural affinity for that weakness like bunny and electric

When i saw the 3% drop chance plus getting the other things. I decided the grind wanst worth it and bought ultimate bunny.i felt disgusted with myself while doing it, but that Bunny skin is fine as hell.
Nexon gets a bad wrap, they've been actually trying with their recent games. I was really invested in their last game Warhaven it was suer fun but unfortunately not enough people played. They fully refunded everything I purchased without even asking or filling anything out, I was ready to just let them keep it since I genuinely liked the game so much.

Have any of yall actually grinded for a descendant that isn't a starter (i.e Freya, Bliar, Sharen). If you have you know it takes a ridiculous amount of time. Clay said it takes like a day like this is normal. That's 18 hours+ of the boring and annoying grind of any looter shooter I've played.
Dealing with the stupid amorphous material with the double RNG makes the chances even lower. Having a 20% chance to get something and then a 6% chance to actually get what I want is just painful.
I've just been grinding Valby and that took 14 hours+ for just two parts, For the other parts I got a lucky drop from a first time void intercept battle.

I wanted to play in Korean, but I had to switch to ENG sadly, cause other wise like voices mid battle are lost on me when I had to fight bajilion dudes and read subs at once. Luckily Bunny is still pretty cute, her eng VA does good job.

You can use the same paint on every part of a specific equipment slot. It will use just 1. So the chest slot has 4 parts, using just 1 dye will unlock that specific color for every part of that chest costume. System is still horrible when compared to Warframe.
Im trying to get the plat trophy for the game but there's one trophy will take me too long to get it's the one you have to build one item 10 times the crystal item if i want to pass time i have to buy it but the item cost 4.99$ shame real shame
The game is free. Most people would spend 100 bucks on a game anyways. I understand spending it on a game like this. I have only spent 10 bucks for a skin and I dropped bunny's red mod earlier. It's a dope game. 🙌
The drop rates for parts to unlock descendants is awful. Either it's bugged or it's intended as a way to frustrate players in the hope they give up and just purchase the Descendant from the store instead.
If people want to swipe then it’s their own money let them do what they want. Never get people being so offended by others spending $100 or more. Clearly it’s out of jealousy bc they can’t obviously afford to do it.
Spending money is optional but to be good at the game you got go out and grind and farm (not pay to win just time consuming) people only paying for ultimate ones just to fast pace the story and honestly gley my main and so far I only missing one piece and I got it for free I didn’t have to pay 100
Seems just like warframe with their base frames and their prime frames. The prices even are close lol.
I would like to start by saying that i enjoy this game. Im having a ton of fun with it right now.

Only reason I buy these prime descendants is because I don't have the time to grind them out. 2 Job's just won't give you the time to do so. But of course I wouldn't buy the 100 dollars pack that's just extra stuff they give you with the prime descendants crazy prize tag. But if you have time go on ahead and grind. If I had time I would do the same grind.
The cosmetics are important, but if it comes with an actuator, that’s costly as well. That’s like one of the highest cost items. One of the biggest controversies between Warf frame and this game is the cost of that item have you done the math on what it cost you buy that item later if you only bought the 3000 caliber ultimatebet the bundles of better deal. I don’t know. I haven’t done the math because I won’t spend money on any of that shit.
The paint system does piss me off
I think you are misselling how hard it is to get both energy activators and crystallization catalysts, maybe it is easier once you get to hard mode but before that is a bit hard.
Some items are farmable as enemy drops, but some come from amorphous material, and while some have a 100% drop chance, others are much less, even as low as 20%, on top of that, you need to decode it, by either doing a specific mission, a void fissure reactor or killing a colossus, and on top of that there are many other items that can decode. Activators blueprints for instance have a 3% drop chance, plus, you can only decode 1 at a time... I think is even worse than warframe back in the days
i once burn 1k dolars on bule archive for swim suit character and later that month i plan burn some money in first desedant mianly for dficult desedants like gley and valaby.

Oh, it’s just that you don’t understand RMG. I’m not saying next time hasn’t been caught theoretically caught cheating I mean there’s no proof of it. There’s no court case. It was simply a fine government level. You fine against the company. Nothing was proven, but still is what it is if it’s a one and five chance every time you complete that activity you have four chances of not getting what you wanted and one chance of getting it those aren’t very good odds, and although the more you do it the more chance that it’s going to happen for you and gigantic statistical formula to prove multiple different formulas multiple theories about probability but the bottom line is if you think that one and 10 chance means that you’re gonna get it out of 10 tries you’re being deluded. You may get it out of 10 tries by your farmer likely not to get it in 10 tries, but if you keep doing it, you’ll eventually get it

My only problem for this game is that skkns need to be buyed and can't be grinded (warframe allows you to do that destiny does aswell)
No, there’s not two bundles for bunny one ultimate and one regular. There’s one ultimate and one premium. The premium is an ultimate as well. It just comes with more shit for more money. If somebody wants that shit it is a value to them then they have to spend more money to get it, the other one comes the ultimate bunny far as I recall again it’s very subjective if I got whatever 80 or 90 bucks whatever it works out to in dollars to buy that hundred dollars worth of currency necessary to buy that premium ultimate money that’s my business and if it’s a value to me, then I got valueto someone to value me
The "1" thing that will kill this game dead, and get its players back to warframe is the price and availabilty of it "forma" and "catalysts", a shame as the game looks great and is quite fun
I really don't like Nexon either. But I am enjoying this game. My actual one big problem I see are Encrypted Vaults.
I am perfectly under the understanding that this is a grind game, however, there is a difference between being gated by long term progression... and being actively regressed. This is what is actually happening when you fail to open a vault. You progressed, to a very palpable degree when you grinded the keys... and then your progress gets deleted by a minigame that's far harder than it has any right to be (and honestly shouldn't even exist in the first place imo).
It's one thing to have slow progression. It's another to have your progress deleted. Which is to say, have your time wasted.
This is the exact kind of thing that makes people quit games. And this only has 2 explanations... either it's antiquated, ignorant game design, or greed. Please push for Nexon to rework this.
