    The specs say the 2" super max on top is 70lb ILD, which is harder than the 6" lux at 50lb ILD. Overall looks on the firm side. Very familiar with foambymail/foamfactory. Been using them for years.

      Absolutely correct, I like a firm pad thats easy to walk on and gives on impact.

    I’m trying to make something that will cushion a fall under a swinging chair in case it breaks. I looked up crash mats in the size i wanted and it was $796.00. I definitely can’t afford that. How thick would you recommend for a 1-2 foot fall?

      1" for every foot of the total height of the wall for bouldering gyms is where you want to start when designing flooring. For example; 12' high climbing wall you'll want 12" of pad. Keep in mind that on a wall that high most people won't have their feet more than 6' above the pad.

    Where did you order the fabric assuming size 96x96 is what you used?

      Amazon. There should be a link in the description.

    Hello climber dad! I am building a home board with the classic 2.4x3.6 m dimensions. It is going to be around 20 degrees. How big should i make the mat? Thanks for all the videos by the way! So informative:)

      Glad to help.
      I work in SAE measurements so please bare with me. If I built a home wall at 20 degrees 8 feet wide and 10 feet tall which is a pretty standard size, the pad would be 8 feet wide and 6 to 8 feet long (8x8 would be ideal).
      Hope that helps.

      @@climberdad Thank you!! I have had one made and used 8 feet wide and 6.5 feet long, so not far off from what you said! Here in Mauritania, it was reasonably cheap to get someone to do it and would have been more expensive if I tried making it myself! :)

    Did you go for the 2 or 3 lb density for the cross-linked poly foam? Thanks

    • @climberdad

      I think it was 2#. Pretty sure I put u reference in the video of the exact shuff I used.

      @@climberdadYour picture for the cross linked foam had both 2 and 3 pound data on it. That's why there was confusion. Great video, thanks!

    How did you attach the Nylon cover to the bottom wooden board? Did you just use a staple gun?

    • @climberdad
      @climberdad  11 месяцев назад

      Lots, and LOTS of staples. Still holding strong.
