Late Dr. Apanya was my dad's best friend. He lived with us in our house at 2 Andoni Street, Borokiri... Some of these songs were released while this great son of Ijaw land lived with us... Such a lovely man... Unfortunately, I just lost my dad, but I won't forget the memories I shared living with such wonderful characters.
I'm glad to listen to this song again today 7/17/24 when I was growing up in 22 igboukwu street dline ph.....my neighbor used to play this song though I don't understand the meaning but I loved it till this day......I'm listening to it from USA, may God continue to bless this wonderful legend.

But if someone takes time 2pick d words & pronounce cleat 2u, u'l get 2understand it. In my opinion d most central Ijaw dialect is d NEMBE dialect. I'm frm Akassa, but whenever I want 2commuinicate with Kalabari, Okrika ppl in Port Harcourt I speak Nembe dialect & they understand me. Same tin in Yenagoa wen talking 2 Ekeremor, Sagbama or Kolokuma ppl,if I speak Akaha dialect, nobody understands me till I switch 2 Nembe
