    Late Dr. Apanya was my dad's best friend. He lived with us in our house at 2 Andoni Street, Borokiri... Some of these songs were released while this great son of Ijaw land lived with us... Such a lovely man... Unfortunately, I just lost my dad, but I won't forget the memories I shared living with such wonderful characters.

      @@doctorun9838 yeah, d dialect is quite different frm ur's. 4those of us in Eastern Ijaw, it's easy but Western Ijaws will find it difficult. But if someone takes time 2pick d words & pronounce cleat 2u, u'l get 2understand it.
      In my opinion d most central Ijaw dialect is d NEMBE dialect.
      I'm frm Akassa, but whenever I want 2commuinicate with Kalabari, Okrika ppl in Port Harcourt I speak Nembe dialect & they understand me. Same tin in Yenagoa wen talking 2 Ekeremor, Sagbama or Kolokuma ppl,if I speak Akaha dialect, nobody understands me till I switch 2 Nembe

    • @ayebatarijuliapaxagiri2767
      @ayebatarijuliapaxagiri2767 2 года назад +1

      @@alsogan u tink Biafra is only Igbo?
      Guy no b so o. Evn d name Biafra is an Ijaw name. BIAGHA FULO meaning soup dat's always boiling/cooking, soup wey no dey done.
      Dat stretch of d Atlantic Ocean is usually rough, with waves so d Ijaws who r d occupants of d area called it BIAGHA FULO. Europeans couldn't pronounce BIAGHA FULO & ended up calling it BIAFRA.
      Wen Sir Ojukwu was looking 4a name 2gv 2d new country, Sir Frank Opigo an Ijaw man suggested d name & d EASTERN ASSEMBLY adopted d name.
      Ppl lik major Adigio of Okpoma in Bayelsa State was head of Port Harcourt battalion or something. Ijaws, Ibibios, Efiks all planned & executed Biafra. It wasn't solely an Igbo tin. Evn d king of Kalabari Amachree was exiled & died in Lagos bcos of his involvement in support of Biafra.
      Adaka Boro was on d side of Nigeria bcos Aguyi Ironsi & Ojukwu sentenced him 2death 4declaring Niger Delta Republic & Gowon freed him. Igbos fck Boro up, they oppressed us d Ijaws but I believe say dem don learn their lesson now.
      So Biafra isn't strictly an Igbo tin. Also Adaka Boro was right in his actions, if na me sef I'll do d same.
