Imagine running facebook ads to interactive sales video and converting each customer as they think the interactive video sales person is a real person chatting and answering their questions. It would increase the ecommerce conversion by multifold. Great idea.
You don't see impersonation of a real person (even a synthetic) as a problem? I would think Synthesias would have this on their "three Cs," maybe "charlatanry." Any ethical person would prominently declare that a bot is a bot.
Nobody would think one of those avatars is a real person, unless there's something wrong with your sight, it's pretty obvious these avatars are not there yet. Also, it's not what this company is trying to do. From the majority of comments I read all over youtube today, MOST people don't even like seeing videos with AI avatars and MOST people prefer a real person. Specially in the customer support area. For me the best selling point of this company is the translation feature.
Your characters don't know when to blink. There is a psychology behind this and you need to build it into your system. Interesting work can't wait to see where it goes 🥰

Do you plan to increase the size of files for uploading on Synthesia? 250 mb is very small and often it`s needed to cut into shorter videos or reduce quality. This slows down the entire process of videomaking

Text will always be superior because you can skim through text and find what you're looking for, much much easier than video. That's why I never watch video tutorials whenever I'm searching for something while programming.
Cool! One thing I’m really waiting for is the ability to voice clone in Dutch. For me, having the avatar sound just like the actual person when speaking in Dutch is a must. Will that be possible in the near future?
I used Synthesia for my RUclips channel a year ago, but found it quite time-consuming. Each creation had to be reviewed by Synthesia, which added delays. Some avatars had noticeably fake-looking lip movements, which was a significant issue for me since my grandparents taught me lipreading. As a result, I avoided using certain avatars. While the videos I produced appeared real to most viewers, creating slides took too much time and wasn’t as efficient as PowerPoint. I hope the process has become easier and more streamlined since then?

However, I would have been truly impressed if the CEO had revealed that the entire presentation was conducted by an avatar version of himself. Alternatively, making the presentation available in different languages using a lip-sync AI would be a fantastic first step. 7:04 one of the great things about this solution I would recommend any serious business to totally take advantage of is to make yourself or your team into avatars. although they may not have it directly now, in the early days of the platform, we were able to get the solution to create of ourselves. With the new advances and voice cloning technology, and this release, the output could be incredible.

I get that it's expensive to develop this technology and to process all this data, but when it becomes cheaper, it will open new opportunities for the masses.

Wow catering to the business sector in terms of using AI to transform the onboarding process, trainings, etc is a very smart move! You just need to rethink your pricing for small business to increase adoption...maybe when the tech cost goes down a bit. Time to contact every HR worker I know about this.
The improvements are appreciated, but as long as the avatar is based on a real person, you start a legal nightmare of consents and data protection when your use is commercial. The step you really need to take is the ability to create an exclusive avatar that is based on no existing person, an avatar that is totally made up. That would remove a lot of the legal barriers.
Why do they seem unrealistic going forward? I feel the new version is a step back from what existed but yes, seem more live but surely not realistic. But all in all. Love it. Good work team.
It's a trade off, right? Totally different model means you're stepping back on one thing but advancing on three. Give it a little bit of time and they'll be near-perfect.

But I hope R&D will look into it sometime in the future. Main problem is that it lacks pauses and understanding of how to naturally pronounce. The avatars need to look around the room a bit and not always look at the camera they stare so intensely at the camera it’s still a bit creepy uncanny valley quality imo. Nice progress tho
Because the content created is content moderated by machine and humans, that means the content you create is not secure right? I suspect a lot of businesses might feel uncomfortable with confidential information being available in that way. Still, this is a very impressive service and I can see how useful it will be for many business applications.

When you do a tutorial with text first it's actually a lot of time. It's not designed to be a RUclips influencer.

Wow catering to the business sector in terms of using AI to transform the onboarding process, trainings, etc is a very smart move! You just need to rethink your pricing for small business to increase adoption...maybe when the tech cost goes down a bit. Time to contact every HR worker I know about this.

The improvements are appreciated, but as long as the avatar is based on a real person, you start a legal nightmare of consents and data protection when your use is commercial. The step you really need to take is the ability to create an exclusive avatar that is based on no existing person, an avatar that is totally made up. That would remove a lot of the legal barriers.

Why do they seem unrealistic going forward? I feel the new version is a step back from what existed but yes, seem more live but surely not realistic. But all in all. Love it. Good work team.
It's a trade off, right? Totally different model means you're stepping back on one thing but advancing on three. Give it a little bit of time and they'll be near-perfect.

Hello Victor, as a first feedback, It is really great to see new features and that seems easy to use.Yet, avatars are still away from being realistic especially around eyes and lips.And, what if I want to use the avatar on my background stock video Or as a instructor on the side- Are they doable currently?

@@synthesia-io hey dude, I checked it, it's unfortunately not natural. Possibly due to our language's uniqueness. But I doubt many sales will come from my country because it's so poor. But I hope R&D will look into it sometime in the future.
Main problem is that it lacks pauses and understanding of how to naturally pronounce. (once again, possibly due to uniqueness of the language) It reads as below (even though it did not sound exactly natural)

Yup exactly this. It will probably be a bit longer here and there because languages ofc have a different pace-but it will be automatic.

The avatars need to look around the room a bit and not always look at the camera they stare so intensely at the camera it’s still a bit creepy uncanny valley quality imo. Nice progress tho

Because the content created is content moderated by machine and humans, that means the content you create is not secure right? I suspect a lot of businesses might feel uncomfortable with confidential information being available in that way. Still, this is a very impressive service and I can see how useful it will be for many business applications.
