I was trying to explain the sonic butthole saga to my mother, and said "he is nude and reading a newspaper at such an angle you can see his whole butthole. I mean he's always nude, but he's more nude. Not like physically but... metaphorical... spiritually. " and she thought I needed to be quoted as saying "spiritually more nude" so, here you go drawfee fans, finally a way to describe what Karina has been doing to sonic. Making him spiritually more nude.

I dont think I ever actually realized sonic is normally nude. Genuinely this comment has completely shifted my perspective on Sonic, for the worse. It's like that line from the Folding Ideas Cats video....

Everyone who hasn't seen it and has the time, I highly recommend watching the entire original Todd from Mario stream on the Unofficial Drawfee Stream Archive. (For anyone unaware, that's a fan channel that has archived the old streams from the College Humor days, and the Drawfee crew are aware of it and cool with it.) That whole stream is gold.
I'm surprised "We're sorry" isn't getting that much recognition in the comments, it was said in the very first Drawfee episode posted to RUclips and I think that's incredible.
Yeah! I always wondered whether that was in the fjrst episode or if it developed later. I went deep into the catalogue when I got hooked on Drawfee but I have gaps in my knowledge about the earliest stuff. Now I know!

Man, as much as I love Caldwell and CollegeHumor, and how scary it was when the Drawfee folks were laid off, I wouldn't change a thing. I love what it has become, it's perfect.
The fact that the apology came from something as harmless as that cute lil banana shark is surprising to me.
These compilations bring me so much joy I love them so much. My one complaint is the omission of “is the nose scale standard” and a horseshoe crab thought experiment led by Jacob, two of my favorite bits

It's amazing how DeepBLueInk's animation style is almost photorealistic now.

Personally loved the episode where Julia learns Blender during a speed draw. That was inspirational.

I'm an art teacher and a few of my students are obsessed with drawing Sonic, so every time they show me their drawings I die a little inside because Karina has forever tainted the image of Sonic for me. Rewatching the evolution of the Sonic bits have just further set in the psychological trauma I've chosen to bring upon myself. It's refreshing.

I watch Drawfee religiously for years. I've consumed every single video and stream that crossed my path ever since the first knock-off Steven Universe characters. This is the first time I'm seeing the origin of Porfo

I went back seeking it out a while ago and it took me so long to find on my own. Then a couple of months later they upload this, doing all the work for me...
What ive learned is the true indicators of a classic drawfee bit in the making is A) if Julia talks about quitting/ending drawfee B) Humorous portmanteau/phrasing/pronunciation, usually from Julia or Nathan misspeaking, but Todd is a notable exception C) Cats (2019) D) Bullying Jacob E) Karina can't believe to learn Julia deleted her art again
I'd never seen the porfo origin before! Who knew that lil boyband doodle would make such a lasting impression. Also this made me realise that Jacob deserves a co-author credit on the plot of hot guy PI lmao.
Seeing the origins of it made me want to once again request the "Drawfee Intro Challenge". One artists draw something we all have, one artists draws something that's just like us, and a third artist draws something that who needs 'em?
So, a while ago I watched a Drawfee comp and Edvard Grieg's In the Hall of the Mountain King started playing at some point in that vid. For me, the escalation of that masterpiece perfectly encapsulates the utter madness that is Drawfee. A Drawf starts gingerly and friendly enough with Nathan, it ramps up with the evil twins Jacob and Karina, and culminates with whatever terror Julia conjures up. Please, gang, never stop.
Nayaka's editing is usually top-notch, but holy _shit_ did they go off the chain this time. It's just so good. :)
I've been watching drawfee for 5 or 6 years now so I've celebrated a few porfmas's.. and the first time I saw a porfmas gift episode I didn't question it, I just let it happen to me. It's pretty indicative of my relationship with drawfee bits.. I just let it happen to me lol
David leaves for baby and the editing goes feral, and frankly I support the decision to do so
Delightful video, I actually havent seen some of these moments! As for bits I adore:

Also drawing New York personified is one of my favourite parts
Other faves: starting the episode with "hey", "Life is pain and suffering, whats up?", "Merobiba", "NO ARE YOU KIDDING ME" after the the fool tarot, and Julia saying "because of the WHAT!?" reacting to Nathan and Nathan absolutely losing it.
This just proves that the best parts of Drawfee comes from that "lack of sleep / concentrated too long for today and now my brain is fried so I laugh at everything"-mode and I'll always be here for it!
"It's a miracle Drawfee ever got this far" and we're glad it did

I can't believe I didn't know Schmando actually came from the show...I thought Karina created them whole cloth separately and then they just became honorary Drawfee characters by proximity
unironically this is a really good resource for me to share with my friends. the original porfo vid, lovely though it is, feels like sending a film from the 1920s compared with modern drawfee.

my very first Drawfee video was the one where Schmidt and Nando were made, I watched it before extra Hot Guy PI stuff got made, and it’s making me incredibly nostalgic to see their origins again and also learn that some people didn’t know they were a Drawfee creation first

Hey I have a suggestion: what if you guys sold the Drawtectives seasons as like, modules to play ? You know, like the story with all the clues in a doc or even physical booklet-thingy so fans of the show can GM the story for their friends! Both seasons so far have **so** many incredibly cool details and illustrations that I can't help but want to pore through everything myself and then maybe even get to tell the story to someone else!
Would be a lot of extra work to plan and draw out all the alternative directions the plot might go, as well as if they voiced them they couldn't really react to whatever drawing attempt you made to fill in the clues. You could do a homebrew version with your friends though?
@@danielled8665 That's true! I don't necessarily mean the whole game planned out but rather access to the illustrations and story/clues Julia had preplanned that she talks about in the BTSs of the seasons. Some of those don't make it to the final seasons so it's a little more difficult to piece them together. Also if I had the choice between screengrabbing everything or support the show by buying an illustration pack or something, I'd choose the latter!
Of course I don't mean it as a demand or anything! And I don't have a logistics/business plan to offer them, just the idea 😅 at the end of the day, it's their art to do with as they please.
Do you imagine these modules as setting-neutral things to be played with D&D/Call of Cthulhu etc, or something truly like Drawtectives where the players sketch to get info?
@@RyanCG723 I definitely imagine it as having its own narrative gameplay (or at least I can't think now of how it could be adapted to one of the existing TTRPG systems lol).
The drawings truly are a really cool system for the show since watching them draw is the appeal of the channel, that being said I'm not sure if that would be strictly necessary for a home game. Maybe players could choose between drawing for clues if that's fun for them or just play it like a "regular" whodunnit, asking questions and finding clues through exploration.
I also think once you have the pieces to the story laid out (characters, settings, items) the choice opens up to you to play it as a more railroady-type narrative or try and adapt it to a system you like.
In any case the idea is kinda half baked lol, it came out of watching the BTS of season two and seeing all the incredibly detailed posters, clues and settings that Julia had prepared, it made me want to be there and look trough everything.

The whole delete your art - deleting the video bit was great!! Especially with those fake mails in the background referencing the delete your art bit and the spam mail etc :D
As a special education teacher, it's actually important to get kids to believe to learn. After having difficulty with a particular subject over a period of time, they lose confidence. The question "Can you believe to learn?" is more profound than Drawfee will know.
