Love this! I am a graduate of Stephen F. Austin HS in Houston-1971. Can’t believe it’s been this long! We have started having a gathering every year for all class years for those who just want stay connected. It is sooo much fun. I love it because we are now beginning to lose more of our classmates as time goes by.
I cried when you both shared the special moment and love for each other. Please treasure it and never ever lose it. The man I love is not in my life and I only wish to see him one more time and tell him how important he is to me. But I believe it will never happen again. Maybe 30 years my love story will resonate with yours and our paths will cross once again

Such a beautiful love story between you two. I think when love comes later in life you appreciate it much more after having gone through so many life lessons and that makes it even more magical. I too thank the Lord every day for meeting my husband later in life (I was 47). We've been together almost 25 years and I have never looked back. I know you two will never look back either. It’s my 40th this year, too. It’s seems like only yesterday I was asking my mom’s permission to go on a date but then I look outside and see my grandson playing with my husband. The days are long but the years are short❤

Every single piece of silver you’re wearing including in your blouse and the belt which I’ve seen before is GOLD on my screen! 😂. Before you started describing your outfit in detail, I was focused on the gold barstools thinking how pretty they are and then I thought how pretty gold dots are in your blouse! Then you said it was all silver. I was like, wait, what? Haha. Please tell me that at least the bar stools are gold.!! Haha…but seriously. 😂

I have not stayed in touch with a single person from high school. I don’t even remember a single person’s name, and can’t imagine that I’d have anything in common with anyone. That was also 40 years ago and in a different country! Glad it was fun for you!

I had such a fun time watching this! My heart was so excited for you when you were getting ready to go to your reunion! I graduated in 1987 and HS wasn’t a picnic for me.
I wasn’t a part of the “popular click” I guess you could say I was “ in the land of misfits”.
Maybe it was because I didn’t know how to apply my blush correctly or talked too much about my idol Olivia Newton John. 😂 The best part was that I was given the name “bedpan” because my last name sounded relatively similar. 😅 Well fast forward to 30 years later and I finally worked up the curiously and nerve to attend that HS reunion. I was now a blonde with a pretty outfit on and my makeup was applied correctly. 😂
One of the popular boys “Mark” asked the DJ to play a “GREASE” compilation song.
He then proceeded to ask me to 🪩dance. (He asked my hubby for his permission first)
It was just Mark and I with all eyes peering at us on the dance floor. It felt like a moment out of a fairytale. This was the moment I longed for so badly from 1984-1987 and it never came. Until that dance! 💃🏼🕺🏻 My 40th is coming up in 2027 looking forward to it!

I had a reunion in Houston last week too. I lived there for 13 years and a good friends daughter was getting married in SA so I visited friends in Houston 1st, then to SA for wedding. I love to visit but don’t think I could live there again…too much traffic. Glad you had a wonderful 40th high school reunion. 😊
