I had an art teacher when I was a freshman in high school who taught us perspective using a technique like this. We actually had use of a wooden board to tape our paper to and a T-Square to allow not just straight lines, but lines perpendicular to the edge of the board. Pretty handy. He was a pretty amazing art teacher and he was about 70 when he taught us some 30 years ago. I was always nice to him and he was an amazing artist. I only regret that others in my class treated him with such disrespect as one would expect a bunch of early teenagers would do. This video was a very pleasant review of a semester I had with one of my favorite teachers. Thank you.
Hey, there! Thanks so much for checking this one out and for sharing your experiences. 💛 It means a lot. I'm so happy to hear you had a great art teacher in high school. Sounds like an awesome guy. T-squares are fabulous for this type of exercise. I learned perspective in art school, where I took courses with beginner architects and that was the tool I used. Super helpful, indeed!
