We are a family of 4 converting two sheds (44ft x 16ft) & (36ft x 16ft) into a “dogtrot” style home for the start of a homesteading self-sufficient journey.

I love your journey. You gave us insight on what we want to do. A reality into our thoughts and plans. RUclips only suggests after at least 30 video's. They look for regular postings and consistency to promote the channel. :)

@@joyofthesimplelifeJSL My daughter plays with YT and I watch the YT how to video's. Someday I want to do it. lol I have been looking for a video on how to do the ceilings in the cabins correctly so there isn't any moisture/mildew/mold problems. Hubby is against spray foam so far when he saw video's on how it was done wrong making the homes toxic. I told him that is very rare to happen.
@@PreppingAngelcan you explain a bit more on how the incorrect way to do spray foam in these shed to homes? I have heard spray foam is the best to maximize space as well as minimize moisture/mold. But I definitely don’t want to poison my kids and I!! 😅

I am planning on doing a shed to home almost identical to your size and layout.
I’m a single mom with very little home building experience but I love DIY, design, and painting, so I want to do everything I’m physically able to do by myself on my own w/ my teenagers help! So I see you hired out much of the interior finishing as well, could you ball park what that cost came to be, to finish the interior??
…Just like the spray foam, framing, drywall, flooring, and cabinets!??
I plan on doing the small things myself, like epoxy countertops myself, and sourcing appliances from Facebook marketplace….
So what did you end up paying without those elements??
What is the name & color of the flooring? The brand? It's all so pretty.
