Thank you so much Shane Welcher!!!
Glad to help
Good my friend Shane
Thank you
When i click in turn on some inputs, they dont change in the local tags on the controler, but works with the output, do you already have some issues like that?
Please clarify what you are asking
Have you encountered where Logix Emulate suddenly doesn't show any processors in the slots and when you try to create a new one it says a previous configuration exists, and then no matter what selection you make, it fails to install in the slot? Any slot... The only way to fix is to reinstall Emulate.
Sounds like a registry issue
@@ShaneWelcher probably will have to call Rockwell to see if there’s a permanent fix. This has happened several times now.
@@RedTideRTS edit the register for emulator, depends on what version.
I'll try to make a video about it, generally it's a version issue for what you have
Environment
RSLogix Emulate 5000
Studio 5000 Logix Emulate
Solution 1
This error is usually an indication of a corrupt registry or not being able to create subkeys under the emulator registry entry.
Check the permissions on the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Rockwell Automation\VirtualBackplaneMonitor\Installed Modules\0001!000E!0035\Instances key using Regedit in windows XP or windows 2003 server or Regedt32 in windows 2000. Verify that users have the right to create subkeys in the registry or write.
For 64-bit Operating systems the registry path is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Rockwell Automation\VirtualBackplaneMonitor\Installed Modules\0001!000E!0035\Instances
Solution 2
Note: If you are logged in to a domain, verify that the [domain name]\ [user name] is listed in the local administrator’s group. {e.g. Rockwell\jdoe}
If permissions are correct (or if permissions are incorrect and you don’t want to risk there being any other issues):
Repair RSLogix5000 Emulator in Add/Remove Programs. If after repair RSLogix5000 Emulator still does not work then follow the steps below:
Uninstall the RSLogix5000 Emulator (in Add/Remove Programs)
Go into the registry editor, back up the registry before making any changes
Delete the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Rockwell Automation\VirtualBackplaneMonitor key for 32-bit or for a 64-bit operating system, the registry path is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Rockwell Automation\VirtualBackplaneMonitor.
Reboot the Computer
Reinstall RSLogix5000 Emulator
Solution 3
Check permissions on msvcp100.dll file:
For 32 bit OS go to C:\Windows\SysWOW64\msvcp100.dll
For 64 bit OS go to C:\Windows\System32\msvcp100.dll
Summary
Disabling User Account Control (UAC) in Windows OS
Question
How do I change User Account Control (UAC) settings in order to resolve problems with Rockwell Software?
Environment
Windows Operating System (OS)
Answer 1
For Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008:
Open Windows Control Panel
In the search box in top right corner type UAC
Choose Turn User Account Control on or off
One the next screen uncheck Use User Account Control and click OK to confirm
Reboot computer in order to save settings
For Windows 7:
Open Start menu
In Search programs and files search box type UAC
Click on Change User Account Control settings
On the next screen move slider all the way down to Never notify and confirm by clicking OK
Reboot computer in order to save settings
Note: For Windows 8 and Server 2012 and above, use Answer 2. Disabling UAC in the Windows Control panel does not completely disable User Account Control in newer versions of Windows. It must be done in the Windows Registry Editor if you desire to completely disable it.
Answer 2
For Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2019:
If the UAC setting is already showing as Never notify, verify that a group policy is also not enabled for every computer. The registry key below disables the policy User Account Control: Run all administrators in Admin Approval Mode. If the registry key is changed, verify that the setting is retained after a reboot. Domain policies can be automatically re-applied on boot. If this occurs, a Domain Administrator would need to modify it.
Click Start -->Run type regedit
Browse HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\system
Change EnableLUA from 1 to 0
Reboot
Answer 3
To disable it:
Right-click on Command Prompt, then Run As Administrator
Copy and Paste the following:
reg.exe ADD HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v EnableLUA /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f
Reboot
To re enable it:
Right-click on Command Prompt, then Run As Administrator
Copy and Paste the following:
reg.exe ADD HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v EnableLUA /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f
Reboot
