- Training time while I talk about what I think star stable needs to change to go in a better direction than this! Do I think that it's the downfall now? no! don't worry! They will continue for many more years but here's what I think needs to go better and star stable will most likely always be there--but they will just end up stopping giving up updates, give small races updates, etc. Here's just an accumulation of my thoughts while we podcast/facetime train together! 🥰🐴

With the winter magic I think I had a glitch because I would log off and then back on and it would say I had missed some things that I unlocked but I would collect everything before I would log off
31:20 I think it would be good if the player would take a personality test when they start the game that would determine the personality of your starter since the other soul riders’ horses are connected to their personality.
SSO won't shut down, they said on a instagram post where someone asked "the mission said the beginning of the end is SSO shutting down?'' sso responded: ''Maybe is the end a new begin..'' and ''we have too much updates and things we want to add that it wont shut down''

SSO won't shut down likely because the people making it make enough money to keep it running.
Star stable is really struggling. Their player base has mostly not been happy about their decisions over the years. We literally had to force them to give us a star coin code. They weren’t even gonna give us one in the first place! They are getting so greedy and more and more unfair to non star riders. It’s expensive. I feel like they can’t understand that not everyone can afford or is allowed to buy a $80 pixel pack. This is coming from a new lifetime star rider who only been here for 1 year and didn’t want to be a non star rider anymore. I wanted to do things. And then there are people who have been non star riders ever since the game came out. I just don’t know anymore. I almost quit SSO last summer because I could do anything. But yeah that’s my opinion and hope you have a good day Sharky! Also I’m a little early
they were going to give em to us, the codes were already there and that you ae prouf of the fact you forced a game to give a present you had absolutely no right to shows a lot about being lowly and greedy. but its not sso.
@@yerielking5426 is being “lowly and greedy “? You do realize this game has been up for more than 10 years and this was going to be the first year without a star coin code, right? They were not ever planning on giving us one, because a member of the star stable team had said early in the year “There will not be a star coin code this year”. So after SSO got boycotted they finally gave us the fricken code because they were losing money. The player base isn’t greedy. Star stable has continued to raise the price on star coins, horses, star rider, and items in the game. They have also given out less and less star coin codes out each year. Star stable is also insanely unfair to its non star rider player base, just because they can’t afford an $80 membership. You have to realize that not only are non star riders restricted to only moorland and fort pinta, but full non star riders that have been playing this game since it came out have been like that for 12 YEARS. This game is getting too out of hand.
Yeah, sadly it seems like a lot of companies nowadays are becoming more greedy that way, and it definitely isn't okay that they would stop giving away free star coin codes. Maybe the reason isn't quite what we think (although it probably is that they want free players to buy something if they want to be able to get anything), but higher prices and less star coins still isn't fair to new players/non-star riders.
P.S. I think that's more of an observation than an opinion. Sure, there are parts of opinions in there maybe, but calling it an opinion isn't quite the correct word to communicate this as being.

I really hope star stable doesn't shut down. Its the best horse game ive found out of 10 others ! I really dont focus on the negatives of sso i cant decide and change the game when i want and how i want so no point in worrying. Thank you for videos sharky ❤

This is going to be long. Also love you sharkey and thanks for talking about this! I just wanted to share some of my frustrations with star stable and honestly more of the community. I also did not proof this sorry.
I think the issue with taking away alot of events is because they have to add clothing and tack most of the time. I would Also like to point out if they have events every week people will stop being happy they still have them but angry because it's a “cash grab”
I also feel like yes the snowflakes were grindy but I don't see how it's different from the tokens. Getting all the snowflakes all you had to do was log in once a day. It also had a boost Where it made one snowflake worth 3 after a point. On the topic of the code I don't see what there is to be mad about because they in the end gave us the code. If they planned to not but saw people upset and said ok let's do a code why should we be mad? They saw people mad and they fixed it. They listened. Isn't that what people are always complaining about is them not listening to the players?

The people who code and work om the game are without a doubt not involved in this at all. Star stable is 100% big enough to have a marketing/pr team and I can't imagine they would stop working on game updates for something like that. Trust. the star rider thing was not slowing down game progression.
Players and Core game play….
What have they been doing for the last 12+ years? I guess I get that role playing or stuff like that would be fun but we do have that and they have been adding that with horse progression. I think the issue is that the characters were so far behind the rest of the game and it honestly looked weird. The characters needed a fix. It's fine if you don't like it or think it's too much. I change my hair every day. I change my clothes every day. it is not just a horse game. It's about magic adventure And most of all exploration. It's about being yourself and the depth of customization honestly gives me so much more interest in the game. Taking pictures gosh I do that for hours just wandering around and looking at how cute it is and NOT seeing a crusty girl.
The requirement to be a high level makes so much sense. New players have HOURS of content and can play for ages. What do old players like myself have? Things like the main story line progressing and new quests and seasonal events. I don't understand what people want from a game that is being pulled in SOOO many directions. You want horse progression and player interaction plus you want new quests for old and new. You don't want to spend more money but you want them to put even more money into the game. It's a lose lose honestly and my Saying this will change nobody's mind I'm sure but I've felt this way for years and I Guess i'm finally tired of hearing everyone complaining.
I would like to add I agree they do give players a lot of empty promises but you have to understand that those types of things are what drive people to think about the game and come back. What's next for the game? Could be any of the things you talked about in this video. We really don't know and I think that the best way to see more things that we want is not to just be upset about what we aren't getting but to enjoy what we have and if we want to see change guess what? Star stables has a suggestions box in the contact us form. I'd like to end with saying it hurts to see so many people bashing the game when if you look around there is so much going on in every way and for everyone thinking they are upset or not likeing the game then maybe its time for a new game...i know i took a break...if you are not happy and dont like whats going on maybe even try starting a new account. You will see why you love it or why your over it.

I feel like having the choose your own adventure style like Pokémon GO… team blue, team red, etc. and have different rival events between the factions. We have the dark riders, vala, druids,etc. but if they had PVP elements to that… it has potential to encourage players to interact with other players, which is what tends to keep mmos going

they could do something like showing, and make it exclusive to lvl 15 horses. it could even be off-screen but you'll earn shillings for entering your horse in one.

i wish we could have more quests and tasks at the rescue ranch in south hoof. it was really cool helping build the place and then caring for the foal and it would be cool to include wild horse storylines and gameplay there
Having to win SC for the championships would make a pretty good deal, imho. It doesn't have to be much, like just 1 SC for the bronze, 2 for the silver, and 3 for the gold medal. That would make people run for their lives to win and participate in every single championship.
Plus, YAS. I miss riding all my paint horses cause they are all at level 15 :( I wish I would use them again, cause I spent money on them.
I love these training times!! I usually use them to do my homework and put multiple playing back to back.
I would actually die a little if Star Stable ever shut down. I discovered it through PONY Book Club and it’s the last fragment of much happier years.
29:21 They have already confirmed that dressage will be added this year as for breeding, I think they’re having trouble figuring out how to add it so that it works and makes sense in the game and fits with the feedback they requested from players.
I think when you get a horse a level 15 that you should get at least 5sc for getting to level 15 on the horse you have cause there are some people that buy horse and don't finish training them then buy another horse and not finish training that one, so it will also motivate player to get online and train their horses and doing quest that involves the horses. So, let say you have about 20 uncomplete trained horse that are around level 8 or 10, and it takes you about an hour to an hour 1/2 for each horse but you are online for around 2 hours you could get about 10sc for that two hour if you trained. If you are training level gen 1-2 you could 10sc for getting to level 15 but especially the gen 1and 1.5 because they are slowly leaving the game. But I do like the suggestion in this video too.

You really earned my respect from this video. Star Stable used to besuch a great game but at this point, they are digging their own grave. If the prefer money over the future of their game then sure, go ahead. But they will lose us.

I wish y’all wouldn’t do stuff like this, it stirs up panic in people who idolize you. Bring unnecessary stress and anxiety to kids who think SSO is shutting down with these kinda titles just to get fews.. SSO stated they are not going anywhere and that they have much much more stuff to do in game.
I love your theory idea, or hidden things you find. I was so thrilled about finding the frozen vet in Dino Valley! There was nothing said in game about it, and I just stumbled upon her, and it was really cool! I was excited!

Oh I forgot Non Star Rider could have there own challenges to do to become a Star Rider with or witout star coins.
Great Video Sharky, there needed to be more game play for level 15 horses that include star coins, you work so hard to get there (level15) and then you retire them or use some of them for champs. They should so something for type of horse like your heavy horse have to pull a cart around a course to show there strength to get those (ie 5 star coins. it unlock only at level 15) or a steed test for your fast breeds or do a small dressage test for the dressage type horse breeds or for pony breeds have them do a games test like pole bending and maybe a sack race with them following you, western horse do western type challenges, gaited horse have gameplay for them not just breeds etc (they have all the props in game they just need to use them) at completion you get a Champions Rug for your horse, there should be an incentve to getting a free Horse as well( other than the rune runner) ie complete as a above with the Champions Rug say 10 horses of that type and get a free horse of that type which you can chose, then you training that to completion and they get a Supreme Champion Rug that is only for the free horse. There should be game play and clubs just for your Starter Horse too as everyone can participate in this and when you have unlock all areas and completed this gameplay you are classed as a Surperme Star Rider where you get an extra 50 star coins a week, get extra CXP and gameplay ONLY for Surpereme Riders with level 15 horses, this would get people not only playing the game but with the extra star coins people buying more horses to training and more good tack for those horses and riders, special clothing and tack for your surpreme Starer Horses too. A Buddy System for new players (not everyone want to be or have time to be in a club) but to have someone a new play can go to for help/advice if they need to if they are stuck on a quest or to do quests with someone, questing with someone can be alot of fun and can start new friendships, Jorvick is a very big place when you start out in SSO.Just my ideas Sorry it's so long have a great day everyone😊😊

The thing thats so annoying about the addition of the discount star rider without the star coin allowance, which is the one i paid for coincidentally, is thats not what we were asking for. We were asking for reasonable prices. Because like, star coins and star rider are so expensive, and you have no choice but to pay if you want to do anything in the game. At every turn star stable is trying to leech every bit of money out of its players it can and for like, the bare minimum in return. Its downright predatory. I love star stable and think it has a lot of potential, but it would legitimately be so easy for another company to fill their space just by having more reasonable prices and making it possible to earn in game currency.
I keep comparing it to Genshin Impact, which yes is a completely different type of game, but like its a game with the most beautiful graphics, an interesting plot, and constant updates to gameplay to keep players engaged and not only do you get alll of that base content for free, you can actually reasonably earn enough in game currency through grinding to get characters, unlike in star stable where you have no choice but to pay if you want any other horse but your starter.
I never got the star coin code when did we get it !
It was on their socials. The code wasn’t under the tree or anything.
Sadly I can’t play on computer because my SSO app keeps crashing when I try to open it, so I’m playing on the phone which is hard and it means I can’t listen to this while training 😭
Whattt, sso has added sitting trot???????!!!!! How did i not know this. I was just playing around with my horses after work and found this out. Hold down shift in trot on any horse without a trot special movement.

I hope they dont shut down they js need to make some improvements they defo listened to us last year but the sc and star rider scandle did not help them.... AT ALL I feel they could focus more on stuff for the rp community like the custom barn building update thing I feel they should focus on that before they focus on more horse breed's
I started in 2012 i have seen everything that has been added to game, and I agree more hidden quests, more stuff to do with max level horses, I way to give or sale other players some of your old stuff, and for the more character options I say all this talk for freckles and scars is a waste or time, im not walking up to plays close enough to see there face in detail to see something so small they will yell at me and say I was in there bubble 😂 but more boby options will be better

Dw! They aren’t shutting down any time soon. SSO has stated in a comment reply on their Instagram that they do not have any plans to shut down.

we did get a 300 sc code this year, it was the new year week that we got it
no actually they didnt put star coins code in the advent calendar they posted it on social medias A DAY AFTER THEY ANNOUNCED DOUBLE STAR COINS WEEKEND.

SSO never guaranteed nor said we’d get 300SC every Christmas. It’s just become expected by super entitled players.
Honestly, I think it’s all a bunch of entitled kids being super greedy and overreacting to nothing. You ARE NOT entitled to freebies or handouts from Star Stable. They already give Star Riders 100sc a week!!! They also gave you the 300sc code anyways.
@jea-ci6ls They aren’t taking anything away. They simply are offering a lower priced option for Unlimited Star Rider without the weekly 100sc allowance. You can still get Unlimited Starider with the 100sc allowance but it’s going to cost slightly more.

I dont think the game will close yet.. they get so much money out of it.. think it stay in upkeep mode until the game get more horse games to compete with.. then they are forced to focus on other things than horse breeds, cosmetics and improving environments
