I grew up in the 1980s / 1990s about an hour away from where this show was filmed. I absolutely LOVED it. We only had one TV in the house (back in the 80s) and only about 4 or 5 TV channels to choose from. This was the one show that both my parents and I (without ever any hesitation) always agreed on. I remember taping some episodes onto Beta videos back then. We did not get a VHS player until I was a teenager (in the 1990s). Also just heard today that the awesome Penny Cook has died. So sad. The people on this show always seemed like family to me. Quite a few of them even used to make special appearances in my hometown.

After the 7 Network dropped ACP channel 10 gave it a go, the Ten Network brought the rights and hired some of the original cast, and aired some new episodes but it flopped. ACP was an excellent Aussie show, the episode when Molly died sent a chill up my spine as the screen faded to black as Brenden ran towards his wife yelling out "Molly" This final scene can be viewed here on RUclips
The actress who played Bethany was Lisa Rhodes she was phenomenal in this ,the only other role she had according to imdb was the 1989 movie Kokoda Cresent with Ruth Cracknell and an episode of E Street ,shame Lisa never did anything else . Lisa wherever you are I hope you’re well and you remember this as your shining glory you’re up there with Jacqueline McKenzie I could see you in something with her. Lisa you’re a legend! Kudos to you from Thomas Baker from Sydney xxxxxxxxxxxx
I just discovered this serie, because of the flying doctors. This is the first episode I've seen, but I would love to see the rest (especially season 8 and 9, with Brett Climo). Unfortunately, I live in the Netherlands, so it will be difficult to find many episodes. Does anyone have any tips on where to search?
Just notice that wonderful slide informing viewers when to catch the next installment, at least STV were good like that..... There may not show them often but at least you know where to watch them LOL
I would send a PM but your not got one, I wish to ask if I can take a pic of the STV slides - there is three of them. There would be uploaded to TV live.
RUclips Viewer Not sure it waa deliberately blocked. It was common for Scottish Television to put up these slides showing when the next edition was on. I wonder if the transmission times were so erratic that it made sense to do this. Be good if someone with inside knowledge of STV could put us straight on the matter.
I like that the ad breaks being preserved in these recordings because it gives us an idea of what tv commercials were like from all over the world

My favourite all time TV series. I still have not forgiven Channel 7 Australia for axing this in 1993.
channel seven have alot to answer for, there was alot of good top quality aussie drama then, until the reality rubbish came along!

Me too I grew up with this program
Great episode. Great to see little Chloe again.
Friday 2nd October 1992
This was my favourite era of the show.
Love how the wombat is eating the scenery and the goose flapping about!😅😅
God Terrence was patient
Terrence is a legend
I wish I had a Dr like him when I was in psych rehab

This was very popular in England back in the day
I remember it was always on in the early 90's when I got home from Junior school there was one episode where the little boy drowned
Loved watching A Country Practice . Just herd penny cook has died . She was 61 . Had cancer
Such a shame. Just shows how young she would have been when it first started.
you can buy the whole series on dvd ,about 14 seasons from 1981-1994 =]
My Grans house . Time machine. Scotland how i weep.
this episode was filmed back in 1986 just by looking at the adverts I say this episode on STV would been shown in 1992

Indeed...I don't know if the episodes she appeared in won any awards but the acting, writing and even the underscore music was amazing.

Bloody oath!
@@invernessstuart9996 l love the music they used in her scenes.
Poor Doris, get well soon, Chloe needs you. 😀

Not so good that they curtailed the remaining credits for their information slide - totally unnecessary.
Actually yes there did, near the end of the credits it alot of illegal sponsorship under ITC rules, so there edit that stuff out.
623058 there wasn’t sponsorship. Other regions showed the credits in full so there was nothing “illegal” as you put it.
do you have series 7 mozart rules part 1 and 2
Sadly this is the only episode I have 😭

623058top of course, feel free.
Thank you.
dear up loader can you get any more episodes on you tube?
"the commercials are the same as
the commercials used to be here
actual commercials not medical or
insurance ads and no infomercials."-🤔📻.

Interesting how they blocked the channel seven logo at the end

Inverness Stuart remember this episode very well I saw this on NBN television in Newcastle Australia six months behind the capital cities
RUclips Viewer It waa a great storyline. I thought it was well acted too. Great programme.
I would say this was a deliberate curtailment of the “Our Thanks to” sponsors and the Channel 7 logo
@@invernessstuart9996 STV were erratic with Prisoner and Sons and Daughters. They never even showed The Young Doctors.
See the ad more water down goose piss
What happed to the girl can anyone tell me please
markcooney13 I can only find further episodes synopsis and it says she ran away and Terence Elliott took to drink
Thanks
