Thanks Phill, that seemed quite effective, they're reasonably priced too, although the Battery & charger add to it, look forward to seeing how you get on with the Strimmer & Hedge Trimmer too !
Cheers Andy 👍🏻 yes as I already have the batteries and charger it made it a cheap purchase. I think I'll have to wait until spring to use the hedge trimmer as my hedges don't really grow now through winter. Might have a go with the strimmer if we get some dry weather 🤞🏻
Hi Phill, good review on this leaf blower, looks well built and good quality. It will be good to blow the dust in the workshop, some time leaves are stubborn when on wet grass, once collected put the leaves in a bag put away for the spring/summer and mix in to your soil or use it as a compost. As always a great honest review and a great video, Take care👍
My technique is to do a first quick blow, shifting the leaves which are not stuck down through being wet. Allowing a day for further drying; then repeat the quick blow. Repeat as often as needed. This way of doing fits in with leaves falling over a sometimes lengthy period; you get some leaves as they fall. On grass which could use a cutting, I use the Flymo for leave gathering (the grass cuttings and cut-up leaves compost well. We have a Bauker strimmer and hedge trimmer: lightweight like the Excel; my wife actually enjoys using them, and does all the strimming.trimming. My tools are Dewalt, and we simply cannot afford their garden XR tools.
I don't know exactly as I use it usually for only short periods of time although I haven't had a problem with battery life It seems pretty good even on the smaller 2AH batteries.
Love your videos, but leaf blowers are for arid environments, not damp and soggy Britain. A rake is a better, and cheaper, tool for dealing with leaves - unless the goal is “annoy the neighbours” of course.
Yea I agree with your point. I mainly wanted it for blasting saw dust off of tools anyway. I already have a rake. My front drive is gravel so I can't really use a rake for that. This should be useful for that too.
