MCs could catch reck, over Sarah love, shortee blitz and harry love on the 1s and 2s. If you were wack you'd get booed off. A lot of people's skills got honed in that era. You could walk in an rub shoulders with UK hip hop legends. Nowadays promoters want to hear your SoundCloud before you can get on. I mean open mic is not really in existence now. That whole era was what it was about. Don't even know where to catch a show now. It's just nostalgia for me. High focus were ahead of the game in a sense that they saw the future and crafted a lane.
