The large gear rotates less than 90 degrees so it can be moved so that the opposite side (the unused teeth) does the work. It stopped the clicking on mine but I also had a faulty microswitch so I ended up swapping out the whole latching assembly.
Thanks for your video. I have the same problem with my Skoda Octavia and replaced the part as well and it did not fix my issue. I think it’s a combo. The senior on my car don’t tells the motor to stop so it continues for longer than necessary.
