If your ready for some black light science. We got ourselves a UV light and flashed it at everyday items around the house and the results were surprising!

There are some oddball white fluorescent lamps that have weird phosphor formulas that causes it to light up weird green or reddish pink. And if you got some synthetic ruby (some smoke shops obviously got terpene pearls there that are ruby and much easier to get), put it under the blacklight, they glow red - fake ruby don't glow.
There was one thing that actually surprised me, the Osram Powerball ceramic metal halide bulb, that I decided to check to see if it got UV block dopants added to the quartz envelope - I didn't expect the salts to glow hot pink within when I shine blacklight straight at the ceramic arc tube.
Also, don't forget, my favorite; peanut butter, they have persistent phosphorescence effects that lasts for a second or two, you need to be in a dark room to see it.
I have a filtered Nichia NVSU233A blacklight flashlight I put together years ago, so I had too much fun with it. 🤷
Your bathroom, paper, your toothpaste, clothes especially white tshirts. Your fingernails. Uranium glass. Certain cd and dvd cases. Construction paper. Book bindings. LED light filaments. And many more!

Weed vape cartridges really glow under u.v. at least the distillates do anyways.
not all of these things are fluorescent. only those things that glow BRIGHTLY like white or neon colors are actually fluorescent. the things that glow dimly are either not very or are just reflecting the UV light because some of the light emitted is visible.
I have a uv light and wanted to know what things could be glowing under it. Also earwax can glow under uv light, dont ask how I know this.

BTW. your cheap LED black light is naff. So much ambient light. Buy florescent tubes
its probably a cheap 395nm light he needs to get a 365 nm source. 365 doesnt put out much in the visible spectrum and is the wavelength you want for maximum fluorescence. a 365nm led source is ideal
