I really like your matter of fact personality and how you cherish your family and home so well. I greatly admire your fortitude and “cry once, then let’s move on and beat this” attitude. Most people, I feel, would be devastated with the news if it were them, and would want to start changing their whole attitude and demeanor on life. I will be praying for this….for wisdom for your docs, strength for you and your family, peace, love and faithfulness as you go forward in your journey. Melissa, you are so smart and brave, but I know you are also human. Thank you for putting this out there. I KNOW you will save lives doing this. I too have breast cancer in my family and do a 6 month mammo/MRI rotation. I just had my annual MRI last week which thankfully came back negative. I also did genetic testing last year and tested negative for the BRCA gene. Interestingly, my doctor said that most breast cancer is not genetic so all women need to get regular screening regardless of whether it runs in their family. My dad always said about cancer screening that he's out there looking for it and encouraged me to be proactive and hunt it down. I will continue to be here for you!

My aunt and her daughter both had double mastectomies about 30 years ago. My aunt has passed but it was from old age (90s) and my cousin is still going strong with zero signs of cancer.

Good Morning Melissa. God has you in his hands!!! I will be praying for you along with your legion of followers. I have had this journey back in 2010 including a double mastectomy and reconstruction. Thank you for making everyone aware of the necessity of mammograms and of SELF CHECKING!!! I say this as my mammogram did not detect my breast cancer, but I did in a self-check. Your positive outlook will be a so helpful!!!! Please know we so enjoy your content, but you and your family come first! God Bless!

Dear sweet Melissa. First of all let me say I am sorry that you are having to go through this time in your life. However you are such an inspiration and an example of how to handle this type of adversity. It is not an accident that you are on RUclips at this time in your life. God is using all of this for your good, for our good and for his glory. One day we will see why all this has happened and the good that has come from it. As for me, I have not been put here as a subscriber by accident either. I am called on to pray and that’s what you can depend on. I know you know the power of prayer and of God‘s Holy Spirit. My heart goes out to you, I lost my sister to breast cancer 20 years ago, she was pregnant at the time and the hormones sped up the cancer, she was in the military at the time and was always away and didn’t get the mammogram when she should have so I thank you for putting out the message of testing as soon and as often as you can, I thank God always for my niece who made it though it all and my sister has always been my hero.
I am happy that light came out of darkness in that situation.

Melissa you are in my prayers. Thank you for being so candid with us. A positive attitude is so important! You are so right to tell us to get a mammogram. Now they have 3D mammograms. I don't have a history of breast cancer in my family, but they found something suspicious on my mammogram in 2014 that turned out to be cancer. My doctor made a comment thank goodness for 3D mammograms. If it had been a regular mammogram the cancer would not have been detected because it was so small, and I would have been walking around with cancer for a year without knowing it.
It is so amazing what they can see now if we just 'let them'. Early detection is such a powerful thing. I am glad that you were able to find yours early.

I’m so sorry this is happening to you, Melissa. I know God has a plan for you and you are in His hands. I will be praying for you and I have faith in our Lord and Savior to heal you. 🙏 I have a close friend who is currently fighting three different cancers and she has a 4 year old daughter. She’s stage 4 colon and there’s nothing they can do at this point. They’re managing her pain but that’s about the extent of it. It started with her breast 2 years ago then she had a tumor on her brain now colon. This year will be my year of getting checked. I just turned 40.😁

I was diagnosed in 2018 with stage 2 hormone receptor positive breast cancer. I've had breast issues in the past before that and my mom is also a 2 time breast cancer survivor. I didn't need chemo but I did get a single mastectomy and 30 rounds of radiation. I am now on AI's for 5 more years. I've already completed my first 5 years on them. A positive attitude definitely helps and you've got that! My sister also was diagnosed at the beginning of 2023 with stage 0 breast cancer. Same one as my mom and I. I will be praying for you on your journey. I get a mammogram and a U/S every year....and they recently started adding on a breast MRI once a year to keep track of my other breast which I chose to keep. You are now a pink sister and a breast cancer survivor. Love your channel!

I'm so sorry you have to go through this but I thank God you have been going every six months and caught it in Stage 1!! That is great news! I appreciate your positive attitude. I was diagnosed 28 years ago with Hodgkin's Lymphoma Stage 1. Had surgery to remove the tumor after having a biopsy, received 24 radiation treatments and cancer free. You are now on my prayer list and I will be praying for you. I can't even imagine how many lives will be saved with your openness and advice to get mammograms. I get one every December as a gift to myself and family. God bless you Melissa!

This wasn't the type news i was expecting, i am certain you and God have got this! I am joining as a prayer warrior afar. I have very dense breasts as well and mammograms are a pain. I had a great aunt who had a double mastectomy just to get rid of them (no cancer). You are a very special lady and the evil one will not take you down.
