Anyone else here after the latest announcement? Miss them!!
100%
I'm afraid so.
Watching this since their divorce, it feels like this was also a therapy session for them. I don’t know them, but I’m still sad about their divorce.
I really appreciated the honesty from both of them in this podcast. While their split was heartbreaking, the discussion gave me some peace. These are strong individuals who approach significant decisions with deep care and thoughtfulness. The three pivotal moments they shared highlighted just how thoughtfully they handle make-or-break situations. I’m confident their recent decision to part ways was also made with that same care and a clear understanding that it was finally time for the duo to also follow their solos.
So much vulnerability, life lessons, raw feelings and wisdom. Amazing guests and brilliant questions and hosting by Anthony and Ben. Thank you for sharing the podcast and doing this interview. I’m a huge fan of @usthduo and devastated about them breaking up but this helped my fan girl heart in mire ways I could’ve imagined. Thank you and keep doing these podcasts!! You guys are amazing!
Went into the rabbithole of this split again. This episode made me understand them more. 3 moments of almost-split and the 4th one did it. It was worth fighting for... until it wasn't. 😢 the question of what was carissa compromising with was so introspective of the host to ask (and going back to the Out article wherein she said shes just trying to always be a peoplepleaser, hmmm). Also... makes sense why she left when it was going downhill while falling in love with someone else - she did that before. That was the start of their love story😢
Also the "hug without thinking of the release" is so nice! ❤
It's so sad seeing them still split 😢
After hearing this interview, I’m not surprised they split up. They both had selfish goals and were not willing to prioritize the relationship.
Wow! I didn't know Us the Duo has personalities like this. Hats down for them being transparent about their relationship and what they learned from it. Really enjoyed this episode! More respect to Us the Duo much more!
Followed them from the beginning, I'm still torn up about this.
Amazing. Never seen such an honest, open and wise conversation in a podcast ever
"This story is worth fighting for" ...
Until it wasn't 🥲
They've always been couple goals, even more so now hearing more about their stories and seeing their encouragement of each other 🥰
Their divorcing. Sad, giving up when they have a family. Fight fight fight for your marriage people!
this was SUCH a good episode, loved this n learned so much as well 🫶🏾
Mike a snake from the start, he's the original homewrecker
Here after the news..like what the fuck
Thank you for this. What a gift of a podcast !
Love us the duo! Great topics of conversation and love how genuine they were about their relationship. This is my first time viewing this podcast but I can't watch the whole thing, Us the Duo gets interrupted too often and don't get to finish their thought. This happened like 3/4 times in the first 20 minutes.
This interview hits differently now. Kinda trippy.
Kind of strange to see Michael somewhat ¿proud? of Carissa basically cheating on her boyfriend with him, just to now have him being the one cheated on by her. Obviously it’s different now that they’ve been married this long and have a kid, but it’s a big red flag of both of them to have developed their relationship while she had a boyfriend
I don’t think he was cheated on. What it sounds like from the songs he wrote, I think there was negative influence from Carissa’s friends that encouraged her to leave and pursue the things she wanted rather than work on and stay in the marriage. I gathered that from the songs Homewrecker and also the bridge of Remember Us.
@marissapatterson566 agreed... sad to hear about the compromise and good communication, yet she wanted a way out. 😢 from her instagram (and we don't know much at all) looks like she really wanted a new career, and Michael went to Asia for a long holiday on his own. So yeah, things have been going south even in this podcast, it's sad
Yeah there are rumors saying Carissa cheated with a female friend. So now if she has a history of falling for someone else while in a failing relationship, then that gives the rumor a little more substance. Also, it might explain why Michael is taking it especially hard and saying she blindsided him. 💔
@@marissapatterson566 He was cheated on! Carissa's a grown woman and everybody's responsible for their actions.
@@marissapatterson566she made a post on her insta that he outed her with that song. she posted that she’s queer now. it’s about her leaving for a woman
have Michael on the podcast again 🙏
Carissa too 😊
Another stellar episode! Thank you!
I really wonder when all of it changed.... she speaks beautifully about their communication and being on the same page, but then all went downhill 😢 strong personality
It kind of seems like she says one thing, but does another. The whole story of how she was someone else when they first met, and the fact that while married she was with someone for quite some time before it came out doesn’t correlate with her lingo of “sticking it out.” Kind of like she has a foot in different camps and waiting which is best for her. Just my two-cents, I don’t know the details of their life. 🤷🏻♀️
"True love is a choice". I agree, I'm sad they don't. I don't know the details, I'm just sad.
same.:(
Honestly they got married way too young.
SUCH A GREAT EPISODE 😭
Great episode! Loved the vulnerability ❤
Such a great episode!
Okay did Michael ever explain what his surgery was for? I listened to the whole thing and don’t know if I missed it lmao
It’s sad because they looked so in love still at this point… I guess the issue was they both put divorce as an option and because of their parents experience too. 😢 It was still as open option for consideration. What if it’s not an option?
You can say divorce isn't an option but if one person changes their mind? Sometimes that just happens. Words aren't magic unfortunately.
01:19:52 oh she followed her gut alright
Ouch 😂😂😂
Wth is antelope and where do I find it
This interview makes me so sad
🥷Kinjaz My Ninjaz!🥷

What happened to this channel? Its all podcasts. Im sure more than 2/3 of subscribers didnt sub for that. 1.17M subs to 1.9T views. That ratio is ugly. Apparently only 14% of your subs care about this
Such profound input
Really amazing podcast you guys. I resonated with a lot of what you talked about and I also learned a lot from it too, thank you for sharing 😭🫶🏼
