Negro candies they tried are the Hungarian equivalent of strong Halls sore throat lozenges. Definitely not for everyday consumption. There are other flavors as well including honey which is my favorite!
and also on that "szilvás betyár" the word betyár is a word for the hungarian outlaws who also (acording to legends) fought against the Austrians after the failed hungarian indipendence war in 1848-1849 and nowerdays considered as national heros and the artworks represent the typical "betyár"

Lászlo is a man's name, by the way ;-) My favourite has to be the marzipan fruits because it remind me of my dad. He would take me to the Jewish deli where he would buy me those little marzipan fruits after having a meal. (Nice to hear the word moist being used the way it's meant to be used as well.) xxx
Yes, Marzipan is milky. Indeed marzipan is made mainly of almond paste or "pasta reale" (royal paste), as it is called in Sicily. One of the uses of almod paste is making traditional almond milk by blending almond paste and water. you egt a very creamy, thick and sweet almond milk. In turn in Puglia this kind of almond milk is used in summer for a special espresso recipe: espresso coffee is brewed over ice and topped with almond milk. Delish!
I really love you enjoying Hungarian snacks. I appreciate you liking it. Seen a Korean girl way many chocolates and sweets from Hungary not liking anything if there was nothing that was alike a product from her country and it just made me so sad that next to over 20 different kinds of sweets there is nothing that is good. So, lots of love to Japan, thanks for having a wide sense of things you like.
If you thin down the marzipan blocks with cream whipped with it, it is delicious between layers of a cake or between cookies. It takes a bit of finger/thumb work to break it down. It can be thinly sliced also.
I really like your reviews on all these products. You are very professional and polite! My partner is Hungarian and she would love you guys! I would love you to review some English food!

You guys should ask from someone who froze some of it or just ask for mirellit packaged "Szomolyai fekete cseresznye" and actual "meggy" and let see what kind of cookies Japanese people can make out of it. Szilva is Plum, one of the most famous (home made) Hungarian spirits (Pálinka) is made from szilva (Plum) it's like "Moonshine". Marcipán is basically made from potatoes and am absolutely crazy for it! The honey is made from acacia flowers by the "Hungarian" bees. Luv u guys! :-). Bad ass. :-D
Hi! The fruit "meggy" is not "cherry". It's "sour cherry". It's a similar looking fruit, but the taste is very different! :) Here in Hungary it is a much loved fruit, but outside Middle- and East-Europe almost nobody knows it.
For the cookies called"mese": it means fabula or folktales, that is why they are shaped like folktales characters. Negro is not licorice by the way, it is made of anis, active carbon and menthol. It does not contain any licorice :) Taste a bit similar though.

Love from Hungary! :)
Love from Hungary!

emma made in japan sometimes has a knife on her to cut the moist chocolates. so having a knife on you would help you cut open some chocolates that are hard to cut in half by hand.
