Hi folks!
Challenge yourself and your friends in this music quiz. 100 video games from easy to unfair. Various platforms and genres. 15 seconds to guess.
Can you guess all of them?
You only need to guess the name of the game. When you don't know the exact name of the game, guess the franchise at least, but at the cost of halved points (e.g. the medium section is worth 2 points. If you guess the full name of the game - The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, you get 2 points. If you answer only Zelda, you get 1 point, i.e. half of 2 points).
For more of a challenge, guess the song title and composer as well. An extra bonus point for each correct answer.

Kinda hard to get the music of games I have never played, ouch. I got one easy one, four medium, three hard, and somehow missed unfair 1 even though I played it about a few weeks ago.

@@DarkLxrdI kinda found it unfair that that song sounds of a lower bit rate. I'm literally in the middle of playing through Super Mario Odyssey, and I'm kicking myself right now that I didn't get the song immediately because of that lower quality audio!

If I had more time or more of the song, I might be able to guess more (I’ve beaten ME2 twice but couldn’t recognize the beginning of the song because you rarely hear it during the mission itself due to dialogue and gunfights).

33:38 Note that this theme is specififc for the SNES version of the first Civilization. The main theme of the original PC version is a completly different theme. But using the main theme of the lesser known version of the game definitly fits the "unfair" category.
Yeah, this main theme of Civilization is only SNES version. It is less known, but for me more iconic and better composed than the PC version.
Glad you know this gem. Quite a few players know Civilization VI and Sogno di Volare, but not the earlier Civilizations at all.
@@DarkLxrd I only knew the SNES theme, because I was interested how the different versions of Civ 1 looked and watched some videos about it.
I grew up with this series and played all six of them (and also Alpha Centauri and Beyond Earth). Yes, most people only know VI or maybe V, but my favourite Civs are II and IV (with the great Baba Yetu as main theme)

If the quiz motivated you to play more games, great. But for pro gamers, they play fewer games because they are really good at the ones they play. Anyway, if you play other games here and there just for relaxation, you might like it.
I appreciate you not using the most obvious song from To The Moon, but you really should have used the most obvious song from To The Moon., if for no other reason than because it'd send the 3 dozen of us that have actually played it into a crying spiral all over again.

Not sure what people’s problem is with this list, the vast majority of these I’ve at least heard of and know are reasonably popular games to put on a list. There are for sure a few I had never heard of, but probably about 85/100 I at least recognized the name when it showed even if I hadn’t played them and didn’t recognize the song.

Holy I can’t believe i recognized Unfair 23 Snake. I loved playing that on the Roku.
Bro this list was unnecessarily difficult I only got 22.5 points out of, what, hundreds of total points probably? Other people in comments have already mentioned this. The list seems to be dominated by action-adventures and shooters which then become progressively either more niche or old. RTS and MMO among other genres are not represented well. The hard and unfair ones are just obscure games that almost nobody's ever heard of rather than being surprising picks from relatively well-known titles that we could at least have a rough chance at guessing.
Yes, I made this list very niche oriented and very subjective. That means a played very obscure games :D

We completed this quiz with my gf. I got 42 points and she got 29. However, she even managed to guess one track from Unfair while I guessed nothing

A few people objected that the songs follow quickly and they don't have time to prepare, so I put a short break between them. I don't care about the length of the video, whether it will be 5 minutes or 40. At the same time, it is not my goal to have extra long videos like an hour or more.
