@Frameone's Makerspace can you confirm if this is still working? I have followed all the instructions in this video and I am able to see and copy files to the "USB" folder on my PiZERO, however they are not visible on my ELEGOO MARS printer. I just have 4 black squares. Will this only work with a certain PiZERO firmware version?
For this is the Transfer happening between the RX and TX pins on the ChiTu Board, or are you transferring via USB from the Pi to the USB Port, so it thinks the Pi is just a USB Stick?
Very useful, thank you. I am using this for my CNC mill but I have one problem; I have to remove and replace the data cable to the CNC PC to see any changes to the USB folder. When I access the USB via wifi, I have full control to save, delete and move files but any changes do not show on my CNC PC until I unplug and replace the data cable (power to the pi is from elsewhere, always on). Can anyone help steer me to a solution? Thanks.
Hah! I just had the idea if I could do this with a Pi Zero W. Figured some one had to have already tried, thanks for the guide! Now if only we could sent print commands remotely. But this will atleast solve the issue of forgetting to grab the USB stick.
Good evening and thank you for your video, but it does not work for me. the Photon S crashes when I put the Pi zero W on and I can't use it as a USB key
Thanks for this! I connected my pi with my Photon S powered off and it comes alive and the touch screen doesn't respond?! Has anyone experienced this? Not sure how to find my files when the screen is frozen...Also, which dir do I put the files so my Photon S will see them?

Hello I need you help I need to connect via lan, and there is no port for lan in pi zero Is this is possibilities to use on raspberry pi3 for this project
Hello , good video and instructions!! I have a question. When I plug pi zero in my Creality LD-002R it cannot be read and it doesn't connect through ssh . I tested on a pc and everything works.
Hi, just found this video. Super helpful, I am having a problem connecting my Epax E10 to my network and thought this would be the best/easiest solution. Problem, though: The link for the IMG file gives a 404 error, says it doesn't exist. Is there somewhere else I can get the file? I am NOT a programmer, so the file would be SOOO helpful.
Bought the kit, flashed the card, had to create the .conf file and the ssh file as you don't mention where to copy it from. Plugged it in and can see it when I run an IP scan, can SSH into it using putty, but Windows doesn't let me access it either through or a web browser or when trying to map it as a network drive. Any ideas?
I really want to get a wireless update on how much longer the print will take / what layer it's on. Is there anyway to get that info from the network to a raspberry pi? That would be amazing!
Hello there I am abit late to the party it seems and the link for the IMG file is no longer functional Is there any chance you can reupload it or if anyone else has it and can provide a download link I would greatly appreciate it !
I keep having an issue when chitubox slicing lithophanes. After it slices it created a solid layer over the whole image. When it prints, if I am not there when it gets to the last couple layers to stop it, it will cover yh whole image and ruin the lithophane. No matter which image I use or how many times I slice it it does this with every single lithophane.
Hello, How does it work when I have a Zero W2? When I copy the img file etc to the micro SD card and connect it, the green light is not on and nothing happens. What would I need to change?
On the Elegoo Saturn the ethernet port allows you to print directly from Chitubox. No need to walk anywhere, just click print, and it starts. I am sure a ethernet to wifi adapter would work as well.
I use that feature, and it fails around 75% of the cases. Also, there are bugs reported in their support page that points to file corruption during the transfer... So it is not a reliable feature yet
hello! I wonder if you are able to make this work on Photon Mono Series ? I tried this on my Creality LD002R and it work perfectly but in my newest printer, Photon Mono, the screen won't respond. I also tried the SanDisk wireless flashdrive and the same no luck.
Back in the '80s, we had to walk a 5 1/4" floppy disk between computers. It was called SneakerNet. So walking a USB drive seems very comfortable to me. I don't know if I want to trust this new fangled thing called WIFI. Just kidding. Can't wait to dive into this. Thanks!
Hi Mate, I have bought the Elegoo Mars. When I level the bed with an a4 paper. The bed handle is then tightened with a secure hand. When I start the print the bed pushes down into the resin vat and appears to not want to stop with a nasty grinding noise. I have to stop the print and clean the bed before investigating the levelling. Any idea why this happens. Followed the instructions from the handbook.
@@FrameonesMakerspace I did that but will try again tonight. Cheers for the advise. Oh and cheers for the wifi video. Will get on that once I get a few decent prints. Cheers again.

You can cut open the cable and cut the red wire which is power. Then it wont go back and forth like that. It just needs the data wires and ground. I had to do that for my Ender3 when I hooked up a Pi.
Hi thanks for your comment! You will need a pi that has OTG features. Only the zero and 4 has that feature but I have not tried this on the 4 as I do not have one on hand.

Why the hassle with PI? I know PI is fun, but there are USB flash sticks with WiFi connectivity that you can access from your PC. Sandisk makes some. Check out _Sandisk Connect Wireless Stick_ for example.

I actually looked at that also. I found it was more costly and I wouldn’t have been able to have any add on projects that I can use the Pi for. Thanks for the recommendation though!
@@FrameonesMakerspace I know, but it's an alternative for those who don't have a pi, and wanted a quick way to quickly transfer files... Because it can take some time to transfer files... especially since the sliced model files are very large compared to gcodes for fdm printers.
MK3424 I’ll do a follow up video for that method also
@@FrameonesMakerspace Gee, thanks! ;)
I bought one and my elegoo mars doesn't recognize it as a usb drive. Bought a wifi usb stick (Sandisk Connect) and it won't recognize it either. Both the sandisk and the toshiba work everywhere but in the mars( I currently have spent $75 trying to make a $250 printer wireless :) )
- IMG file link is broken. :(
- help!!!
no matter what I do I cannot get my PC to pick up the PI as a USB drive.
Hey, can you confirm that you are using the port labeled USB on the Pi?
@@FrameonesMakerspace yep.
Can you access it via SSH?
@@FrameonesMakerspace yeah SSH is fine, I can see the share on my network space I just can't access the USB mass storage.
Doddy D Did you try plugging it into the printer? It should be able to be seen on your printer though. Let me know if the printer sees it.
File is gone. :(
U are the Elegoo Guru.
No way! There are so many guys who have so much experience! I just try to share it with you guys :)
You mean Elegooru
Now if only we could get a raspberry pi to post process the prints.
