He can definitely gain weight without losing speed. I personally don't think he needs to gain weight. Wes Welker isn't the biggest guy in the world but he is a star player.
@Hexenjaeger00 His weight could be disadvantages to play at the NFL level as you mentioned, but mostly lack of English skills is keeping him away from the NFL in my opinion. He said he doesn't prefer to gain weight too much because he doesn't want to lose his 4.4 speed.
Perhaps only his apparent disadvantage could be his weigh, I mean that he is very very good an full skills, but his weigh can be the reason why he does not play in the NFL. Regards
