      I wound up adding bigger clear plastic wings to get them spinning faster. The plywood is also delaminating after 2 years outdoors. Going to make new bodies from the pvc lumber To make them survive longer. Thanks for watching.

      Be sure to use a good grade exterior plywood because I had problems with delamination. I also made the wings slightly larger. This video shows the garden and problems with delamination. ruclips.net/video/r-_vnJHdKuU/видео.html .I am trying to find some plastic wood to remake the bodies someday. Thanks for watching.

    so you use a shaft that turns and this way both wings turn in the same direction and it seems you offset the wings for balance.. Many duck whirligigs have one wing going clockwise and the other going counter clockwise. I like your method better. Thanks for showing that.

    • @unemployedredneckhillbilly2023
      @unemployedredneckhillbilly2023  7 лет назад +1

      I live in an area that is quite windy and the ones with the light wings spinning opposite directions self destruct quickly, so I decided to make smaller wings that are connected with good bushings. It takes about a 15 mph wind to get them spinning so I am looking at making some slightly larger plastic overlays in the future . The good thing is they do not spin wildly out of control in high winds. Thanks for watching.

So to those who watch this and are disheartenedabout all your impressive equipment , you can do it !!! Just need some talent , imagination , and a few basic pieces of equipment!!!! With your workshop....you should be building spaceships for Elon Musk.....not funny little garden wirligigs !!!!!!

      It costs very little when you build your own tools. People have used the idea to make them with the tools they have, it just takes a open mind. You may want to find videos that suit you better.
