I was out there all weekend. Soooo much bait in the water but the only fish I caught was a 25.5” trout, and nuclear sunburn
Lots of bait but no reds or Trout hardly at all. The birds were being lazy all day long and just sitting on the beach

How do you get that tar off your Jeep? Baby oil? Can it ruin your undercarriage? We'll be down there the week of July 4. Great video! The water looks so clean.
My undercarriage has a thick coating of tarry sand from driving PINS Saturday. I'm taking it tomorrow to have it professionally cleaned. $200. I will not drive on the beach again until the tar is gone, which could be weeks. Very frustrating, fishing conditions improve but tar ruins the trip.

I drove to mile 50 Friday (6/07) morning. The only thing I caught was a vehicle covered with sticky tar, which collected sand. Lots of tar on beach and in the water, impossible to avoid. Rinsing car in driveway was a bad idea, I now have to powerwash the tar off my driveway. The strong north-flowing longshore current was carrying a lot of grassy weed, which fouled my lines. I did not have a good time.☹
I did that as well got tar all over my driveway. Lots of grass down there same experience

The last 2 times I was at Matagorda beach, it was the same. That was about 4 years ago too.
