Since I have a Galaxy S8, I used adb to remove a lot of Samsung Bloatware, and installed Nova Launcher. Now I have switched to Lawnchair 2.0 though, and I really like it. :) Also changed the same dev options you do and installed another icon pack. Would love to see the video with your setup :)
if it is a Galaxy phone, i do install Nova Launcher and #HEX to turn everything into true black. Then I install AdGuard to remove any ads anywhere. Next I have to install AODNotify to return back the missing events notification light, repeatable. And One Hand Operation+ to have Back and other gestures comfortable for both hands. And I just forgot the ShouldIanswer? app for better privacy...
I change the home screen grid if it is a Samsung mobile. The icons looks too big 😅. Also I install some good lock apps like Quickstar, Lockstar, One hand op + and Sound assistand, among others.
Dev option is the first thing I do too. Got use to having no animations a long time ago so it feels sluggish with them even on .5 now. Biggest change for me is changing from One UI to Nova Launcher. Which runs like butter on the S20 Ultra and helps optimize everything very well.
As an ex-Apple x now Samsung user. There's so many features that makes the world so much simpler that you just choose not to use for some reason. The side gestures and bixby for example. Makes all tasks easily done without much effort. Super convenient.
You can have one-handed mode with gestures. The way I use it, I go to the desktop, and from there I just a swipe down from the gestures line will enable the one-handed mode. It doesn't consistently work when an app is open, hence why I go to the desktop
Dan, you. Do Not Have to use Gestures from the sides? ANYONE THAT REALLY USES SAMSUNG TO ITS FULLEST??? Go find better RUclipsr for Samsung!!! Trust Me!!!

Can I also recommend going into settings, going to Samsung pay and disabling the Samsung pay pop-up app and remove all of its permissions so you don't get that pop-up thing on the bottom
Thanks Dan: It was not your intention, but I discovered that there is not much new in the new Samsung S20 Ultra, except for the 120 Mhz and the cameras. My Samsung S9+ is fully operational and no need to spend $1600. I love the larger screen but can wait another year and see if they can fix the problem with 100X.

When I play a youtube video it's too dark and the "pause, forward and back line" is occluding the middle of the screen and doesn't time out or go away. How do I fix that?
Can you do a video on best way to make the most out of this damn cam! Lol. I AM ALREADY ON MY FIRST REPLACEMENT DEVICE. My original pre-order had cam issues and wld fail over 50% of the times I wld open my cam which wld make all of my social media apps cams not work as well.
@@vrsce0178 I'd open up the Cam to take a pic and I'd get a WARNING: CAMERA FAILED pop up which in turn wld make all of my social media apps cameras also fail, which caused the apps to fail, and my phone to freeze.

4:50 press on "more options", and click on "swipe from bottom", go back and disable "gesture hints". it opens way more space on the screen

For WHAT THEY SOLD US ON my S9+ Cam was much more clear and vibrant. I feel like my settings are off.
