I want everyone to have a home and I sincerely mean that, and I'm sorry if this sounds cold but its an honest appraisal. There are far to many American citizens siting on waiting list for these type apts. Many of these people are in dire need for a place to live, and a number of them are Veterans and Senior Citizens. I don't think it is much to ask in such situations, that American citizens with that need receive precedence on these type Apts. A good majority of these people have been on waiting lists for affordable apts for several years. Here I see someone from another country that has arrived here a short time ago, and gets an apt this quickly. I'm sorry I think it is insulting and blatantly unfair to those American citizens I mentioned and it should be said.

Whatever you do, do not let criminals move in idc if they need a place to stay. Let the hood hard working people live there

Yes we need more and more. I live in low income. It's the only thing I can afford cooking full time at an elementary school. Thank goodness for low income rather then the street.

And your the type of person that deserves it. It seems to me that mostly homeless addicts or thise with criminal records receive housing and handouts!

Give you low income housing so your employer doesn't have to pay you more. Good idea.

So, who is given priority for these units--the Ukrainian refugee has only been in the country since May and she gets a apartment? There isn't any native Washingtonians who need a unit and who have paid taxes their whole lives who need a apartment?

That's great I wish they would do that another places it's hard to get places they say it is but it's just a hassle and like you said just because it's low income people even to run the places think they can treat you like that

A smart long term investment; I’ll bet those little Ukrainian kids will grow up to be Canadian lawyers / doctors / software engineers

This is EXACTLY the reason they should only let on the elderly and those that work. And ABSOLUTELY NO junkies or alcoholics. I personally think they should be random drug tested! If they fail OUT!!!

Shitty politics leads to shitty socialist housing. No ownership means no incentive to improve and the lowest common denominator (AKA Shaneequah) will prevail.
