The most polite Windows tune up video on RUclips! And using no 3rd programs, only Windows! The one I didn't know was disabling Background Apps (at 9:27) Thanks from Brazil
Ha, me again. I have found that deleting Prefetch file makes a big difference when computer gets slow as well as when in Chrome, using Task manager and ending Chrome's processes then restarting Chrome, which is auto flagged
Most RUclipsrs talk AT you, and the information can be hard for me to process with lots of jarring volume, sound effects, and other unnecessary touches. Your delivery is smooth and calm while also being direct, simple, and easy to follow. Thank you! You deserve so many more subscribers.
Hi!! How can I fix my laptop this is just about 10 months old and always lag.. I can't use my google chrome because it's always not responding.. and it is very slow.. can you help me?
Go to the task manager by right clicking on the taskbar and selecting "Task Manager", then click on the performance tab. If your CPU or hard drive is being used a lot (for example, CPU usage 100%), this will give you a clue to the problem you're experiencing. That is where I would start. I would also reinstall Chrome as it might be corrupted, so that might help too.
I tend to Optimize my drive at 4% or greater - 500MB with about 12% in use. Is this a good point for Optimizing or perhaps or less works as good or better? I have never been clear on this. Thanks
There isn't a program available that can scan everything on your computer, but there are programs that can scan parts of you pc to search for problems.
you could actually use ultimate performance plan I am 100% about the performance , but t would be better to do that first go to cmd and paste this : powercfg -duplicatescheme e9a42b02-d5df-448d-aa00-03f14749eb61 after that go to power options and click on ultimate power plan
(I know this is late) But I have a gaming pc that was pretty slow and after I did everything in this video the speed of it makes everything load in like 2 seconds or less, thank you so much!
I have noticed that Game Mode seems to slow down my computer a little - No Video Card - Intel i5 - 3 series, 3.2 GHZ X4 and 8GM RAM. is this best with a Video Card by chance? Thanks again.
When you have game mode on, Windows will prevent certain activities that run in the background such as Windows updates whilst you're gaming. So it shouldn't make any difference for those with or without a video card, but tbh I haven't tested 'game mode on' on a computer that has no video card.
Hi Dave, we’ve just got a new laptop and right out the box it’s suffering from the “app default settings” error. I’ve searched online for how to solve this and there are so many different suggestions and they all seem potentially troublesome if you really don’t know what your doing….and I don’t. Any chance of a video on this? Or can you tell me what to do?
Hi, I'm not too surprised that you've seen many answers to this problem. There are a few ways to solve it, but no answer is exactly better than the other. The problem is caused by Windows trying to change an app. One way of solving the problem is to use a free program called "Stop Resetting My Apps" which can be found at www.thewindowsclub.com/stop-windows-10-resetting-default-apps. Hope that helps.
What programs or apps do you consider to be essential for the start up process? Is it true that any programs or apps that are not started in the start up process can be opened when you need them?
Anything that is to do with Windows is likely to be essential. Any security you have such as anti-virus software, it's a good idea to allow them to start up. Anything else is non-essential, unless you consider it to be important yourself. Any program or app that is not started at boot-up can be started by opening them in the usual way.
Thanks for the video. Very comprehensive and very easy to follow. I sent it to a colleague at work for her to help her with a slow PC. I also have subscribed.
Sometimes error 87 will show if the command has not been typed in correctly. You can copy and paste my command from the description below the video to be sure the command has been entered correctly. Hope that helps.
Press and hold the Windows key and press the letter i on your keyboard. Then select "Update and Security". Next, click on "Activation" from the left side of the screen.
@@EasyPcRepairs thanks bro, I had one more doubt that should we always keep up with the updates that windows provide? Will it cause any problems with HDD?
Sometimes the major updates have problems for some (such as the latest 2004 update). So it can be worth holding back when there's a major update release until they have it properly tested and fixed. The usual Windows updates are normally ok to install though.
Your voice is so calm
