How could you leave the newly redesigned 2023 Honda CR-V hybrid off your list? You've included Range Rover, Jeep and Volvo, three notoriously unreliable brands. I guess your definition of "Best" doesn't include reliability........
A mechanic friend of mine told me to buy hybrids, not EVs, until at least 2050. Too many issues to list here. I currently have a Camry XLE Hybrid that gets 50.8 mpg. It suffices really well.

I think you got the mpg of the Volvo Xc90 Hybrid wrong. Instead of 18 mpg, the vehicle actually gets around 22 to 24mpg. It can run on electric for just over 30 miles, then switches over to gas power.
PHEV's with 20 or 30 Electric only miles are for suckers! I have a Diesel Jetta that gets 30mpg in town and over 40MPG on the road, and its 12 years old and costs NOTHING to maintain.
Not if you have the money to afford them and enjoy them 😃. I had a tdi a6, amazing car, but the fact that with a PHEV you can practically not use your engine and do 30-40 miles a day is pretty cool. What I'm talking about is a X5 45e.
@@jamo_montana1628 thanks for the info. The thing withba hybrid is you have to keep it for around 5 years or so in order to reap the gas savings. They are more expensive out the door. We're in the market for a three row, and are shopping the Telluride, Highlander and Pilot.

Simply said: see euro cars shop time & inevitable “ Check Engine Light CONTINUALLY!!....this car combines the Elec Batt and engine to achieve *89 miles per Gallon ( Uses 87% octane / Regular gas according to user manual) in Hybred mode with HIGH torq, And VERY quick out of the hole...Jus' blew the doors off a 735i beeemer...albeit for only a block ...( I am no dummy a V* will eventually pass many cars in the long dist. (in all fairness) ......However, who cares the thrill is initial take off and tickets are for high speed & SPEED...Kill's! Toyota makes really great hybrids, I was shocked at the mpg on my prius rental, and it was nice to drive as well.
I have the 2022 Tucson Hybrid. Mine gets about 31MPG. It is a great SUV though! I love it!
