A time lapse of how we built the 2nd floor for our tiny pallet house build! We are building a house out of pallets on our off grid mountain! We are not doing this to be trendy or cool, but to save money and build our home on a budget. It will start as a one room, 2 floor house that will look like a Pallet Tower and we will continue to add on more rooms later on. It's not perfect, but it's a very sturdy floor made out of used pallets! #steepinthewoods #palletprojects #tinyhouse Website: www.steepinthewoods.com/ Donate through paypal: www.paypal.me/SteepInTheWoods Buy T Shirts: teespring.com/stores/my-store-10061584 Become a Member ruclips.net/channel/UCZ_OUIxS6UyIe4uOP6NabpQjoin Our Amazon Storefront: www.amazon.com/shop/steepinthewoods Amazon Wishlist: www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/22G319KHMP2NN?ref_=wl_share Or hit the like & subscribe button! **DISCLAIMER** This video and description contains affiliate links, which means that if you click on one of the product links, I’ll receive a small commission. My family built many structures in Oklahoma using palates as my family worked in the only grocery store in town. (Erick Oklahoma) To make the nails go in easier was to take a spray paint can lid, or other shallow receptacle, and fill with about an inch of dishwashing soap in the bottom. Than put your nails in the soap filled container, points down in the soap. Then pre drill holes through the first layer of wood.Than when you go to drive it into the oak wood 2X4s they go in easier and not as likely to bend.
I see you got some more pallets... I haven't gotten more as of yet, but I'm know I'll get some more soon enough. I love this channel & have learned ALOT on how you use the pallets in EVERY way... Floors, Beams, Roof... My next structure build I will GO SLOW/take my time & do the same... EFFICIENCY a wise use of materials does MATTER! 👍🏾 Don't take it for granted

Use the speedsquare as a guide for the saw
Id like to see the insulation and cladding one day.
We are still actively working on this pallet tower! Just keep checking back to see the progress.
❤❤❤
I was wondering is that structure a 12ft x 12ft?
It's actually about 11ft x 11ft with plans to add more rooms later.
Coming together
your going to have a heck of a time trying to get a bed up there with a box springs if thats a bedroom. your open hle is to small for that.
We don't exactly do things traditionally around here. Stick around and you'll see just how we get comfortable in this pallet house.
