    Just a heads up guys. I clamped the H-Rail MightMount incorrectly. Here's a link to how to correctly clamp to an H-Rail bit.ly/3aaUNOi. A big thanks to @clint yakin for telling me about this.

    Nice video again Tommy.Just a heads up on the h rail mighty mount .the correct way to fit it to the H rail is to open the red cam lever first ,clamp the mount closed then tighten the red adjustment knob till ist snug then turn it a little more & close the cam lever to secure it.hope that explains it for you .

      Thanks for the heads up. I really appreciate that. I pinned a comment with a video showing how to clamp it properly. I've probably only clamped it once or twice before this video, since it pretty much just stays on my kayak. I did just buy a couple of H-Rail accessories. Now I know how to mount them correctly thanks you 😁

    I'm a fan of tube style rod holder so I have AR tube and I love it.

      I used scotty tube rod holders on my Outback and the worked great. I got one Omega Pro when they first came out and really like it, so switched them out. I like how they cradle your rod and reel. The LockNLoad base pretty awesome, since it can be easily adjusted.

    It's almost like you made a video specific to the question I asked in the Hobie Kayak FB page last night. Well played, Tommy. Well played. Lol

      I have a backlog of videos to edit, so your question prompted me to edit this one sooner rather than later. I ordered the wrong mount initially, so I thought everyone should be aware of right mount to get. The Omega Pro rod holders are awesome. Thanks for watching.

    Although I like the concept of the YA L&L system, there seems to be a bit of wobble in the rod holder. My old Zooka ram mount doesn't have this problem.

      There is, but I haven't had an problems. I had some giant striped bass pull on them while trolling and had no issue at all. I like how I can quickly remove the rod holders and the mount. I also use different accessories in the mounts.

    Thanks for the Video Tomy, all the Hobie H-Rail with YakAttack Mighty Mount online are without notches? where did you order yours from?

    • @TomyTekOutdoors
      @TomyTekOutdoors  3 года назад

      No problem. I got mine from Mariner Sails and Delaware Paddlesports. They both have pictures of the one without the notches on their websites, but I received the one with the notches from Mariner Sails. I physically went to the Delaware Paddlesports store and everything they had was with the notches. You can call them to verify before you order. They are pretty responsive over the phone. Thanks for watching.

    Hi nice Instruction. Please Film and Comment this rod holder in real conditions. Put the rod in and out. How is the lock function. Trolling with the rod holder on each side. How fast and confortable can y grap y rod in and out? How stable is the construction when a big fish is on? Greetings from germany

      That video will be coming up soon. It's a little challenging to get out with the craziness going on right now. They work great as basic rod holders. I've trolled with them, but haven't hooked into anything big yet. I missed the big fish trolling opportunity. They shutdown any fishing for Rockfish until May 1st. Hopefully there will still be some big fish around to test these rod holders. I'll have something up after everything is clear, so stay tuned. Thanks for watching.

      Thanks Hans. I'm hoping to get out next weekend. It doesn't look like I'll get a chance to go ice fishing this year. It's already starting to get really warm down here.

    Great video - do you have the Hobie part number for the newer H rail mighty mount 2 version (I think the old version was Hobie part number 84620153)

    • @TomyTekOutdoors
      @TomyTekOutdoors  4 года назад +1

      I just check my order and that's the same part number on the order, but I received the newer version with the notches in them. I ordered my first one from Mariner Sails, but I don't see them on their site right now. Call Delaware Paddlesports. They have it listed on their website, but it looks like the older version. I was in the shop a couple of months ago and they were the new version.
