Ok, I'm announcing it to the world... I'm a man and I'm addicted to romantic comedies and tragic love stories.
So u like men
@@kcoose5356 I don't know. Do I? Or am I a hopeless romantic like Shakespeare? The world may never know.
@@kcoose5356 are you assuming that because he likes romantic movies he's gay? are you seriously stereotyping people right now?
To answer the question though.. The beautiful woman that has sat by my side for 18 wonderful years thought of me as a hopeless romantic. But like a tragic love story, she's with my daughter now in that great gig in the sky.
Yeah but at the same time, u feel the need to announce that u love romantic movies as if most guys arent into romantic movies or too afraiD to admit to it.... nobody gives a shit and it doesnt make anyone gay or better or sensitive. U just did it for the likes.
And i was joking about the gay thing, maybe u are maybe not , nobody cares
Anyone else watching this to find movies to watch during the quarantine?
Yep, me too im bored😂
Yeap me too!
me too, from nigeria
Thank you for telling me you were doing this

@@GutpaSooraj Yay! Was starting to think I wasted 22 minutes of my life hehe
Keep doin this. U just save my 20 mins
Three steps above heaven
A Walk to Remember still makes me sad, especially when Landon hugs his father. That scene particularly makes cry 😭
Me too, my absolute favourite Nicholas Sparks flick! 😻
I watch that movie at least once every couple of months
Did u like The Notebook
Because its Nicolus Sparks Magic
Me too
"The Before" trilogy is the best and Before sunset deserved the top spot
Isn't that Otis in your dp?
Damn fuckin right...
True ❤️
Before sunrise is best.. in before triolohy
Pride and Prejudice (2005) with Keira Knightly is one of my favourite movies, I love the book and her performance of Elizabeth Bennet is increible.
Do watch the BBC 1995 adaptation of it. Colin Firth is the only DARCY.
@@ranirathi3379 I've seen it already! And I totally agree Colin Firth is an amazing Darcy!!
@@Mercedes.666 I think you might like Persuasion 1995 too. It is very underrated.
@@ranirathi3379 thanks for the recommendation! I will check it out
I also like Keira Knightly but I don't think she made a good Elisabeth because she was given bad pointers and sometimes a bad dialog when it diverged from the book. I still remember the first time I saw this version and when her mother said ''people don't die of trifling colds'' she answered with ''but she could die of the shame of having SUCH a mother''. I had an instant case of second hand embarrassment, hard to happen with a movie. Elisabeth would never have disrespected in this manner her mother even when she acted extremely stupid and this Elisabeth is not reserved, laughs too much and acts as a flirt. In the book she ''smiled to much'' as put by Darcy. The best version is still the BBC version of 1995, best of Elisabeth and Darcy.
Although La La Land had the fairy tale-esque songs and music in it, it had so much realistic ending!!!❤️❤️💔
P.S.--- A Walk To Remember makes me cry every time I rewatch it!!!😭😭😭
La La Land is all about dreams and reality! Truly SUPERB!
i love lalaland but it did not deserve to be here
Same😂😭😭I always cry
agreeeeeeeeeeeeeee, I don't even consider it in a romance genre @@topeadebayo8863
Where’s Atonement?! That’s one of the most tragic and romantic movie I’ve ever seen and it’s sooo underrated
Yes, "About Time" is one of the best feel good rom coms of the 2010s, I always put in on whenever I'm feeling down, and it makes me feel better instantly! ❤️💕
Absolutely, I love it
It's a bit of a tear jerker, too. But yes, definitely a go-to when you're not feeling too good. (And Domhnall Gleeson, amirite 😂💗)
Such a good movie
absolutely right, but maybe "About Time" is more about family and life than romance i think
LOOOVE about time but always always makes me cry :'(
I'm shocked that "Love, Actually" wasn't on this list at all......
Omg yes, and the Time Travelers Wife😥😥
paper town
me too
...I agree...and Before Sunset was average at best...seemed long and drawn out and .....just average, NOT worthy of the top spot!
❤️
I can't believe About Time didn't make it on the list.
same
The honorable mentions and about time could have replaced 4 or 5 on this list.
Sara Villanueva soo true!!!
completely agree with you. I love that movie.
I was bored while watching it
I'm a man and I love romantic movies, it's not a secret.
nothing wrong with that I do too a lot
@@justineves3588 Thank you.
your very welcome
hey I do that a lot too and I'm not gay so be quiet
@@justineves3588 So you let him get under your skin?
The Before trilogy is amazing ♥
Love Actually, The Fault in Our Stars, The Big Sick, the 2019 version of Little Women, Atonement and Phantom Thread should at least deserved some honorable mentions within this list.
I don’t care what anyone says, WALL-E is the greatest love story ever written.
OMG YES
The Notebook is the best one for me. The story is so wonderful
A Walk To Remember is such an underrated film
why isn’t dear john on here i loved that movie and cried 3-4 times
That movie boring asf
“The Best of Me” is one of my favorite romance movies ever!! It just draws me in every time I rewatch it and the ending was so unexpected yet beautiful!
i really hate tragic endings
I literally watched it just cause of this comment why did you do that to me. Dawson Bobby Noooooooo so thanks and I hate you too.😅
My dad's favorite romance movie is "Brokeback Mountain". To quote my dad "You ain't gotta be nothing, but knowing of love and loss to know when a movie is telling you an amazing tragic love story. " My dad was rooting for the two gay cowboys and actually shed a tear towards the end. R.i.P Dad your favorite love story got into top 10 of WatchMojo's romance of the century so far. I'm bisexual and my dad and mom have always taught me love is love no matter who you love as long as they love and respect you.
I still can't watch this movie cause I miss my dads commentary on it.
Your dad had and has great taste in movies. I'm sending you virtual hug :(
Just reading your comment made me cry
@@korie4198 I miss him. He died in February... It's still a feeling of not being real. I take of both my parents along with my daughter so it feels like failed taking care of him though I know it's not my fault it feels that way.
I was brought up in a hispanic household my dad was actually my step-dad, but he's my dad cause he married my mom even though she was pregnant with another dude ( who can fuck off) baby. My dads family is well off and they hated my mom and grandparents cause they were mexican that's all. But, he loved my mom and grandparents so he cut ties and learned hispanic culture. He spoke spanish better than most who speak it and even encouraged us to learn it cause to him learning another language is just showing your fellow human being that you care enough to understand them.
He was severely bipolar and had a lithium overdose 4 years ago which doctors labeled as self-harm and put him on the "No donor" list. He died of liver failure and pneumonia. They didn't do nothing just gave us bad news and said "Do you want to do a DNR?" He died while I was at work with my mother by his side. But, I know he's somewhere else doing better and watching us. But, I still can't watch certain movies or shows cause it hurts too much.
Thank you to the people who have given their well wishes. Love is love and we as humans must love one another
@@SnowAnayathatweirdgirl I guess yeah it is better to Love than to hate and I kinda already Love my entire Family I wish you well too

Glad to see someone spoke about The Longest Ride and the Vow. It's really sad to see how these 2 masterpieces usually are not included in most of the TOP list.
I'm still waiting for Sandra and Ryan to collab in a movie again! And no matter how times I watch A Star Is Born, each storyline always guts me!
I swear I blubber like a baby whenever I watch A Walk To Remember.
Hi brother
Or sister...
Or non binary soul :)
Finally a list that includes "Definitely, Maybe" ❤. It is so good, but so underrated.
I think Queen and Slim would be a worthy honorable mention. I was shocked by how romantic it turned out to be considering the serious subject matter.
I missed About Time and The Vow in this list, they are so beautiful
U r rit
Safe Haven, The Notebook ,
Forever my girl,Chasing liberty,
A walk to remember, The Vow, Love Rosie, lucky one,
Abduction,Warm Bodies,
Dear John,Me Before you,Midnight Sun,A California Christmas 1 and 2 ,Meet Joe Black,Purple Hearts
They are all worth watching 🔥🔥🥰
Finally a list where I’ve seen all of them! And I am so happy that Before Sunset was number one! It really is the best of the decade, though Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is a very close second. And how wasn’t PS I Love You on the list or even in honorable mentions?!
Yes! Yes! Yes!
The Holiday does not get the recognition it deserves! For me, it replaces When Harry Met Sally as my favorite movie of all time.
Anyone who has never seen it, it is a not to be missed movie.
On a personal note, What is said AFTER Eli W.’s statement from the clip on this video is the motto of my life.
Before Sunset is indeed the best... The most realistic storyline ever! 😭😭😭😭😭
Probably my favourite movie in general is also a dramatic romance story between two dying patients in a hospital. They are infected with cystic fibrosis, and the development of the two main characters is heart-breakingly beautiful.
The movie is called „5 Feet Apart“, watched it last Sunday and I haven’t cried as much in a long time no more.
(Equal quantity of tears as I watched the anime „Plastic Memories“ (fav. anime series)
Really recommend this movie.
I don't think the romantic type of love is special. And I am started to think that the romantic type of love isn't real. I mean about more than half of romantic couples either break up with each other or divorce each other. I think humans should just ditch concepts like dating, marriage, and pair bonding. I feel like this world would be a much better place without romance than it is with it.
In my opinion, romantic love should not be on the highest pedestal. In my opinion, parents and siblings' family love is the strongest. Family knows who you are. Romance is fake for lots of people, put on a false persona and romance on most parts gets ugly real fast. For the reality of romance is no Disney love story.
Parents and siblings' family love is one of the strongest types of love there is. If romantic love is actually real, it would be one of the weakest types of love there is.
Atonement by Joe Wright should be No.1. That movie broke me.
What was the movie about
I did not seem to understand it
@@deborahubani6717 A little girl with too wild imaginations who saw something she did not understand and cause the suffering of people around her. Because of this she lived in guilt until the rest of her life.
Love Rosie and Me Before You hit different!!!
Major missed- P.S. I LOVE YOU, The fault in our stars, atonement and honorable mentions- leap year, the vow, time traveler's wife
👍👍👍
Omg atonement definitely deserved top 10
Ps i love u is overrated
Painted veil
actually, summer is not a manic pixie dream girl. A manic pixie dream girl's main goal of the movie it to simply add to the male protagonist's life. Summer doesnt do this as she does not give tom the relationship he wants and does not end up with him.
The Before trilogy are my favorites movies 💖
How is THE FAULT IN OUR STARS not on this list? Not even an honorable mention? For me it's the best romance movie ever.
Sissi94St yes. yes. yes.
It's a really good TEEN romance but romace in general, there are better.
Or even five feet apart that was soooo good
I find one of the most underrated romance movies is "The Best of Me"
when i tell you i was BAWLINGGGG
I very much dislike this film. It's too similar to The Notebook. Also from what I remember the main character causes someone's father to be killed. I didn't have much sympathy for him after that.
But it's great that you enjoyed it.
Absolutely!!
I was lioking for that comment, it's personally my fav romance movie
MY ALL TIME FAV MOVIE! Soo good
I am so happy that me before you atleast got an honourable mention for the first time
Its such an under rated movie
Watchmojo while making 2000s List : Number 9: The Notebook
Making the 21st century list:
Number 5 : The Notebook
I'm and I enjoy romance movies. In college I started a BroMance movie night, where each Friday we'd get together and watch romance movies. The guys probably enjoyed Notebook the most
How could you include "About Time" in your opening montage, but not include it in the list, even as an honorable mention? That film is superb!
Couldn't agree more
This was another great one!
Absolutely! My favorite movie!
I was beginning to panic that there wasn't a "Before" movie on the list.
Read the novels for A walk to remember and The notebook...
The scene where he finds out she is dying is more heartbreaking that the movie did not manage to capture for me.
And the letter from the wife at the end of the novel is so sad that i teared up in a bus when i was reading it for the 5th time.
I always had a soft spot for Serendipity and Moulin Rogue. And I watch The Holiday, About Time, and Pride and Prejudice every year now. These are all great films though, I'm a sucker for romantic comedies!
Oh and the speech from the Dad near the end of Call Me By Your Name gets me emotional every time
Call me crazy, but I still love Amelie and Crazy Rich Asians. These are quite unique romance movies in my eyes. 💞
I would like to add to the list: The Lake House. My favourite so far!
About time should have been in this list. Otherwise, me and my boyfriend love all of them.
I ❤️ this list & totally agree! #7 is my #1 But Something’s Gotta Give and the Artist should be there !
Seen the following entries: (16) A Star Is Born (2018), (14) Brooklyn, (11) Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, (9) Brokeback Mountain, (6) Bridget Jones's Diary, (4) 500 Days of Summer, (3) Pride & Prejudice (2005), (2) La La Land, Her (HM), and Silver Linings Playbook (HM)
Before sunset deserves its first position but I think the whole trilogy should be at this place
The Big Sick! If anyone reading this comment hasn't seen that movie, please go do so

Great video, personally love ramance movie, so I felt compellted to make a top 5 romantic movies from 2019. Keep up the great work. This channek inspired me to make mine.
I’ve watched all of these movies ✨💛 For animated movies the lion 🦁 king is also a great romance ☀️
wtf, I haven't even heard about the no 1 movie until now...
The Notebook is my number 1
And where the hell are Love Actually, The Last Song, The Fault In Our Stars??
Oh, you lucky bastard....now you can watch the before trilogy for the first time.
Ohhh mannn..... Before series is the best portrayal of romance of the centu
Yes The Notebook is No.1👑
Yeahh - I woulda removed their 10,9 and 7 - Moulin Rouge over The Fault In Our Stars - shocking!!! And missing from yours and theirs - LEAP YEAR!
love actually isn't a romance movie. it's about all the different kinds of love. fantastic movie, just not a romantic film. I think a walk to remember fills the nicholas sparks slot. the fault in our stars is too similar and by the same author.
I'm very shocked that Titanic and Five Feet Apart weren't on the list
Angie Ramos titanic is from 1997
Real number 1: About time! Best love movie by far
I’m a sappy, hopeless romantic so I guess I’ll have to watch all these movies in quarantine 😂 Also I LOVE P&P (2005) and “You have bewitched me body and soul.. I love you” like damn Darcy 🥺
don’t even get me started on A Walk to Remember & Brokeback Mountain 😩
yessss A Star is Born made it😭❤️ we love!
Anne of Green Gables the Continuing Story is technically this century and I know people don't like it as much as the other Anne movies but any movie with Anne and Gil (especially played by Megan and Jonathan) is a classic love story. The Vow and About Time should be here too. Also RENT for Angel and Collins.
The 1985 Anne of Green Gables is the best for me👏
\(-ㅂ-)/ ✨
I was so underwhelmed by La La Land. It got so much critical acclaim but it was boring and disappointing.
Agreed .i dont like that film
Yep me too, infact I didn't even watched it fully, coz it was boring as hell
Only thing good about it was it's colorful settings, good cinematography that's it. Story wise Boring.
I love the Holiday! It's an excellent movie which balances these women coming into their own and the romances they find along the wsy.
Looking at this list, I just realized that this type of movie is mu guilty pleasure....having said that, this list is awesome, with numerous "go to" movies that I've seen many times (Pride & Prejudice, Definitely Maybe, A Star Is Born...). However, being a guy, I'd be remiss if I didn't ask, where's High Fidelity in this mix? Criminally under appreciated....
Where the hell is "Love, Actually"???!!! Not even a honorable mention??? COME ON!!!!
i didnt really get emotionally connected to A walk to remember
The time travellers wife ! That one is so good
Definitely, maybe should have been higher, that movie is so good and for everyone. I love that movie
Watched every movie and some even twice!!!! love your channel.
Come here after watch
Ethernal sunshine!

Before sunrise simple One of the greatest trilogy
Wow this is actually a really great list
Thaaaaank you sooooo much for putting Before Sunset #1 ! I spent the whole video wondering if you would… ❤
I was so happy when I saw it was number 1. Like how can a film be THAT good???
Ahhh just watched the movie Brooklyn again 😍😭
I'm suprised that Titanic and Romeo & Juliet are not on the list, since they are known to be some of the greatest love stories of all time. All though if I had to choose a film that deserves to be on this list, then it would be Letters to Juliet.
Both made prior to 2000.
I was about to riot at the idea that Love Rosie wasn’t on this list
I never heard of the number one pick but I would love to see another version of this list. I think Love and Basketball should have been on here somewhere it's a great love story.
I know I'm 3 years late but I beg you watch it. It's part of a trilogy. In my opinion it's a completely deserved number one pick. I don't want to skew your judgement of the film going into it as that's for you to see for yourself, but it's a must watch film. I'll have to watch Love and Basketball because I've need seen that!
If Beale Street Could Talk is a beautiful and tragic love story. The Theory of Everything is also great. Many a'tears were shed
Why aren’t “Before we go” and “Leap year” not on that list?! They are absolutely amazing. Also “Call me by your name” should have been in the top 3 !
I have only watched 3 out of the list and 2 out of the honourable mentions
I now know what i am going to do this summer

Is 'Copenhagen' not considered a romance movie? I saw it like 5 months ago and fell in love with it. Would of thought to see it here
A walk to remember still my favourite movie
First time I do agree with the number one pick on the list. Best trilogy EVER
I'm proud to say that I am your new subscriber from Philippines 🇵🇭🥰
"Love, Rosie" / "One Day" should be on the list, honourable mention isnt enough for them...
I can't believe My Big Fat Greek Wedding wasn't on here. That's such a good film and a modern classic. Nia Vardalos wrote it specifically because agents said she was too heavy, not pretty enough, not ethnic enough, but too white to be a leading lady so she wrote the film to prove them wrong and it is still the highest-grossing romantic comedy almost twenty years later.
I love that movie. It was so good. It could have took a lot of the other movies spot.

The notebook should be 1. I cry every time
Great list! But would love to switch the place of Brokeback Mt and A Walk to Remember.
Oh, and where is Love Actually?
My favorite movie is “About Time” this movie will hit you so much, on how to live your life to the fullest every single day. Not only it is full of lessons it also teaches us that not all great love story is full of magic, some of the greatest love stories are the simple but aprreciated one❤
Here are my favorites:
"The Holiday"
"The Proposal"
"Me Before You"
"The Fault in Our Stars"
"Bridget Jones's Diary"
"Crazy Rich Asians"
"Last Christmas"
"Moulin Rouge"
"A Walk to Remember"
"Leap Year"
And ... I tried to like, "The Notebook." I really did. But to me, it's cheesier than a grilled cheese sandwich. And, quite frankly, I shouldn't have to resort to *trying* to like a movie. Enjoying a movie should come easily to me. I can't find that with, "The Notebook."
I have to watch, "Pride & Prejudice," again.
LivanaFaolan o
it's so cute. it is cheesy but their love is above everything. the way she cried for months and waited 7yrs o be together then left her fiance for him. and how he built the house she wanted and looked for her.
@@minmalaika9971 what is it with people talking/complaining about things being "cheesy"?and is there anything necessarily wrong with things being "cheesy"?
How does Love and Basketball not make this list?
I'm SO happy with this choice of the number one spot!!!!!! =D
Great list, but have you seen "Like crazy" by Doremus ? I love it so much.
