Why choose a finance major at NYU Stern?

Choosing a major and college can feel like walking into a giant maze. One time I asked one of my students why he wanted to choose the University of Washington. He answered: “Because the school mascot is an Alaskan. I’m a dog person.” It is a cute answer, but in reality, the Alaskan can’t help the students along their academic and career paths.
We invited many experienced and excellent professionals in our interview series, hoping to share more helpful insights on finding the right major, college, and career path.
In this interview, Jessica Li shared her experience of finding her major in Finance and her learning experience at NYU Stern. She also tells a great story about why and how she changed her career path from working at companies like Goldman into a successful life coach.
