🌟What do YOU think of Oath so far?! If you don't have it yet, are you planning on getting it?!🌟 ❤️Check out our Patreon to see us retell OUR story from this first game of Oath and write the Chronicle! I"ll let you know, Nathan is a great writer so its epic 🤭 - www.patreon.com/beingfriends
3:09:35 When taking either banner by force (either through campaign or using the conspiracy), you must activate the "when seized" portion on the banner. If you seize the People's Favor, you burn 2 favor (banner must have a minimum of 1 favor) and flip to the mob side. If you seize the Darkest Secret, you burn 2 secrets (banner must have a minimum of 1 secret).
Watching this while waiting for my copy of Oath to show up, so glad I found your channel! Also definitely came for the game and stayed for the deep cut Veggie Tales lore.
HAHA YES theres more where that came from 😂😂 in all seriousness, I'm happy you enjoyed it and I'm stoked for you to get your copy of Oath!! Look forward to more content about this game!! -evan
At around 3:32:00 when you use oracular pig you have to keep the cards in the same order. It looked like a vision was on top originally, but then wasn't after he put the cards back. Just an FYI :).
20:30 first turn, first mistake, besides the shield from the one die the bandits also get a shield from an “invisible” bandit warband that is present at every location. 🤓 (not that it mattered much because attacker was at 4 swords)
THANKs so much!! that's good to know. Still just learning how bandits and combat in general work! So, it's the site that has one defense die and the bandits add one to the total as if there was a warband there??
2:58:09 Jacob is wrong here. It would cost the Chancellor 5 favor to exile him. The back of The Grand Scepter says that the holder may exile a Citizen by giving them 5 favor (+1 if they are the Oathkeeper, +1 if they have the Banner of the People's Favor, +2 if both. -1 for each if you hold them, -2 if both). So, because the Chancellor is the Oathkeeper, that's 5-1 for 4 favor, and Jacob has the Banner of the People's Favor, so 4+1 for 5 favor total to banish.
47:21 The keep was played and the bandits own it. The bandits get the extra 2 dice from the keep. Bandits use any tactics that don't cost resources to play.
@@BeingFriends Ah! Commenting while watching (in shifts…). Love the way you’re narrating the events thematically. Are you going to continue the chronicle….?
My copy is gonna arrive tmrw and I'm having some bois come over, I can't wait and I'm trying to figure out how to play xd, so far it seems you're struggling with the rules as much as I will lol
Pretty hard to watch, with the unfocused attention, arguably bad camera placement/quality (and for some reason, using the Player cam instead of the overhead one?)..

@@BeingFriends exactly, as long as it’s not ruled by players it always has at least one bandit warband.
@@BeingFriends Check out "2.8.3 Defense Die and Bandit" in the manual for confirmation ;)

All cards are denizens or visions. Denizens can be placed on sites or as ADVISORS.
Don’t you mean “adversaries”? 😆
I cringed every time they chose to say that instead of Advisor.
Same 😅

it’s sad but true 😥😥 We figured that out too late after to roll it back!! thanks for helping out though!!!
At 33:06 to paraphrase Mel Gibson, "Adversary? Surely you mean Advisor old boy".
I wish you'd say what the cards do as they are played, the turns all look the same if you don't
hey, thank you so much for that piece of advice!! sorry 😣
we are filming game 2 literally tonight and we will make sure to do that!
Oh great! I'll try to check your second game out then!
1:02:20 Undiscovered sites are not rules by anyone until discovered.
Thanks for this playthrough! At about 39mins, you could have drawn 3 cards from the discard, regardless of visions.
Thanks for the rules correction!!! We realized that rule later on 🤭 it totally makes sense haha.
and so happy you enjoyed the playthrough :)
