Being a RUclips tutorial creator, I know how appreciated good feedback can be. On this basis, I would like to thank you properly. I recently dropped my iPhone 5S and was eager to repair it myself, instead of paying someone else to do it. I followed your tutorial step by step to ensure that I was carrying out all of the procedures correctly and it worked. Your instructions were clear and the review was very well done. You should be very proud of this video and confident that anyone who follows it will succeed, as long as they are careful and patient. Sherwin :)
Thank you a million times over!! My daughter dropped her iPhone (uses like an iPod) and shattered her screen. We didn't want to pay $125 to fix it. We had another old iPhone 5s laying around that was dead. So, I took the dead iPhone screen and swapped it with the shattered screen. All this for only a $5 tool kit and the help from your amazing video!! I can't thank you enough for sharing your knowledge in this video. Have a great night!
Thanks for this video. After spending quite a bit of money on getting the screen replaced a few times (my toddlers have a thing about throwing the phone around) I finally fixed it myself, with your help.
Good job , Lara ! This business is very hot these days , due to it create a lot of profit . we're in this business for many years , welcome for inquiry ! :)
I followed your instructions. My daughters iphone 5s is working once again. She is all smiles from ear to ear with a hint of a happy tear in her eye. You sir, are awesome. Thank you!
Replaced my iphone 5s screen successfully which was lying in the shelf over an year. It took almost 2 hours to complete. Was bit difficult on some parts. However end result was great. Thank you very much for the video. saved me lot of money.
Thank you, works fine! one thing i did different though is not remove the black tape on the metal plate. i just left it attached and put it on the new one but thanks again, you helped a lot
Hi now we have automatic machines which make the whole process very fast and easy. For more details welcome to contact us by whatsapp+86-15889548883, thanks!
Excellent tuition video. Takes time and patience but persevere and you can do it. As a previous comment noted, there is no need to remove the larger square shaped label from the back of the metal plate if you're using the plate again. Once you remove the camera the plate comes away with the silver plate attached. You just attach the silver plate to the new screen and reattach the camera. Thank you for uploading this very helpful video. No way could have completed this without it.
Andrew I couldn't thank enough!! You saved me over $150. That's how much they wanted for repair. I paid roughly $25 for the parts. Your instruction were crystal clear. Thanks for a job well done.
You have a very nicely detailed tear down going on here. I give it all thumbs up. I accidentally cracked the digitizer while putting the screen and everything back into the housing, so I will definitely have to come back and watch this again to cover what ground I need to cover. 5/5, 10/10, 50/50, 100/100 and the accent was actually a very nice touch, as well.
Thank you so much! This is the second time I use your tutorial. Once when I was given a phone with a cracked screen; and the second time, when I cracked it. Your instructions are clear and very helpful. I'm not naturally gifted nor inclined to do mechanical stuff, but with your step-by-step process, I was able to successfully change the screen. You are a great instructor!
Thanks for the video. There were two points that I suggest: 1. 4:00 Using a blade is unnecessary to remove the button, just gently press the button from the front 2. 5:00 The Tape/shielding can be kept attached to the metal backing and transferred in one piece Thanks again. I was able to see a part orientation I wasn't sure of.
Hello Andrew!! Thank you so much for this step my step video. It was very helpful and accurate. None like these other videos that try to show you how to replace a iphone 5s screen with the demonstration of an iphone 4. NOT the same thing!!
ATTENTION! The screws for the protective panel of the LCD flex cables MUST be of specific length. Otherwise, if you mix them up you can damage the traces on the pcb causing "the blue screen" boot loop. You can print a layout of your phone to keep track of what goes where. There is a video called "Classic 5s long screw damage trace repair to solve blue screen of death" by iPad Rehab with more info.
Just successfully fixed my broken 5S screen that was last operational around the end of 2016. Thanks for the great video my mate, first thing I've ever properly fixed that is (y)
Thank you for this very carefully explained video. As a result, I have just been able (and confident enough) to replace the very badly cracked screen on my mother-in-law's iPhone, so we don't need to replace it.
Thanks for the instructional video. Very detailed and step by step. I just replaced my sons iphone 5 screen following your video and was able to do it with out fail. It was à little bit of a pain in the butt because everthing is so small and i was scared i was going to mess something up but like you said take your time and be patient. Thanks again
this was a Godsend... just got my daughter's phone fixed before christmas. only problem i had was trying to put the screws back in the plate that covers the lcd connections... the connections kepts poppping loose and i would have to unscrew that and start that process over. the last step is much easier if u use tweezers to put the cover over the homescreen button connection, btw. other than that this was an awesome tutorial
Thank you so much for this video!! SUPER SUPER detailed and helpful- It took me a little longer than you as I had to rewind it multiple times, but for my first attempt, not too bad! The new screen works perfectly!
Thanks for the video! Successfully changed a screen. I did notice at 5:20 you can leave the foil tape on and just move the whole unit over instead of peeling and reapplying.

Great video. Worked for me, only took 3 hours... I spent most of that time wrestling with the speaker/camera assembly to get it to fit into the new screen properly. In the end I went with "close enough" but everything works. Even the light sensor. Not bad for a £10 ebay job.
Thought you had to disconnect the battery before disconnecting or reconnecting lcd screen as power can fry the new lcd screen leaving a blank screen or lines or touch screen not working? so iv been told
Can the screen ribbon flex cables with the 2 or 3 brass pin connectors on them be fixed if 1 snaps off please. Also does colour part on top as well as the non colour part at the bottom of home, do both of these home button parts need to be swapped over to the original screen for the Touch ID function to to work because my old original 1 is white and my new home button is black, I'm hoping I don't have to have a black screen with a white home button. Excellent video thankyou.
Just to say you dont need to take the black tape off the back of the metal oull the camrea unit out then un screw the metal plate it will come away as one
Great video! Also, thanks for mentioning the part about the bracket screws being different lengths. it really matter as you can fry your logic board if you don't put them in the correct spots! Thanks.
Great video. My daughters phone now works again after vertical stripes and almost no touch response. Some small rubber things fell out and the small metal clip on the right screw of the touch button. A close up of these things would have been nice, to see how to position them. Also the camera on this phone is very loos, and does not fit into anything I guess something is missing to hold it in place.
Did you notice that there is a "tube" (approx. 3mm high and 7mm diameter) made of transparent plastic which holds (or centres) camera module in place. New front panel does not have this - at least the one I bought. Have you moved this part into new front panel before putting all things together again?

Hi Andrew, I have watched couple of videos in youtube for iPhone 5s screen replacement. noticed this in your video...u have removed copper shield adhesive from metal plate. Actually no need to remove the shield from metal plate.Thank you
Hey I did everything in the video. Everything turned on but when I tried typing it would add letters that I didn't press. When I scroll up or down it goes back up. Do you think it's a faulty screen or I did something wrong
Hi bro.... very nice tutorial. I followed every step of the video -- tested the iPhone and everything worked well. However, when I coupled it back it wouldn't turn on again :(. I undid everything I did and recouped it back. still no success... Please do you have an idea of what I can do to fix this. Thanks for your help
Sooo don't judge but i ripped the copper cord and now my camera is not working. Can you direct me to where I can purchase a new one? Pretty please and thank you.
i tried to take the screen of but the phone screen has been replaced before and the screen did not come off with the metal back part, what do I do instead?
thanks for the video, just finished repairing mine. fell off my desk onto carpet (glass down) and looks like it took an impact on the center of the screen. funny that it broke from that as i have had much worse falls onto concrete/stone/tile.
I have 2 iPhone 5s, one has cracked bad screen and the other one has a problem with wifi connection, do you guys know if the wifi modem is on the screen or on the motherboard? Because I want to swipe the screens (not only the led) because its easier this way. Do you guys know if it would work that way?
i now have an issue which i hope you or someone else can help with. I cracked my screen and was replacing it with a new one but the new one didnt work it would just show an illuminated black screen and i couldn't turn it off or anything. So whilst the phone was still on i changed it back to the old screen but once the old screen was connected it wouldnt show anything, not even lighting up? itunes recognises the phone and when its charging it 'bongs' every six seconds. Any ideas what the issue could be?
Sir I also have the same problem. My iPhone screen is smacked and now I want to replace with new one. How can I purchase lcd? Please tell me where do I get the lcd and how?
hey. so u followed your video and everything was going well, until I turned it back on and now I have a double line down the middle of the screen? is this something I have done or possibly a faulty screen? Cheers

Is there adhesive strips to keep the screen sealed?
what is the orientation supposed to be for the home button data cable contact screw down???
Followed your instructions and it worked perfectly. Thank you very much.
As said in last msg, I lost one of the screws that you unscrew at 2:48. I've now found it but totally confused where each goes. Does it really matter?

thanks for the video, just finished repairing mine.
fell off my desk onto carpet (glass down) and looks like it took an impact on the center of the screen. funny that it broke from that as i have had much worse falls onto concrete/stone/tile.
I smashed my new replaced screen while I was trying to put it back on. Ha :) Awesome video though! Thank you!!!

Liverpool Legend no As long as you don't break the ribbon and the silver cage thing
How do I know whether the screen is broken or the screen protector is broken?
Sir I also have the same problem. My iPhone screen is smacked and now I want to replace with new one. How can I purchase lcd? Please tell me where do I get the lcd and how?
