Dave Letterman too, but throughout the early 90s there was a dumb stipulation that the house band had to play along with the band. nothing against Paul Shaffer but some performances got pretty ridiculous.
Late to the party is better than not making the party at all. This song has been a certified jam since I was a kid 20+ years ago. Keep finding music that shreds, regardless of age.
@@dyxlexorcistSeriously. I was in high school and my grandmother took me and three friends into NYC after school for the taping, because we needed an adult with us. It was a really great memory -- we taped the episode that night and brought it into school the next day so we could show it to everyone. I'd love to rewatch that whole episode and see if I can spot my grandmother in the audience.
This is making me feel so emotional right now. I liked being an early teen in the 90s. Music and movies were great and so were the times. This is before 9/11, 7/7, social media and crappy dating apps and right now with COVID I long for these times even more now. I feel like we've had it as good as it was ever gonna be and now we just have to appreciate the memories. I just hope there will be good times ahead and that we will be around and actually appreciate them. Please excuse my depressing comment, I'm just very sad at the moment.
Out of all the Scandinavian Countries Sweden has the best World class musicians by far, on another, note it's the first I've ever seen a bassist play the instrument with a pick, instead of fingers,, when you think of it, it's nota bad idea at all, the lead singer ''girl'' IS VERY SEXY IN ALL ASPECT.
Audley Mclean yeah, Magnus is a little bit unique in that he uses a pick, though I have seen a few others go with a pick. (I bought the bass he used on their first two albums from him. I should’ve asked for a pick too! Lol) Sweden does have a strong history of exporting good music to the rest of the world (which is particularly interesting since only about 10 million people live there). As for Nina, she’s definitely beautiful. And she’s super sweet in person as well. 👍🏻
@TheTransact - Thanks! Hmmm... I wonder why it disappeared, if it was ever on youtube before. I'm hoping they won't make a big fuss over this being posted since it is over ten years old and it's not like they're losing money on it being out there (I'm thinking of nbc, not the Cardigans - I know they don't care.) But hey, keep checkin' out my channel, I'll have more Cardigans clips posted soon. I have a lot more in my collection than what I've posted.
@DSBac They don't care about it infact. There's an automatic detection system that constantly checks the videos uploaded by RUclips users and see if the material corresponds to some of what they have in their databases. Anyway it's not easy for them to detect low quality or distorted videos. Also, they usually recognize it as you upload it. If they let this in, there's some probability that they will never delete it I guess :)
Sweden?? From the way she pronounces her words when she sings, I would've thought she was from England. But then again, I thought Britney Spears was British til I heard her speak, & I thought George Michael was American til I heard him speak. So shows what I know.
This is from a time when pop bands played instruments, wrote their own music and lyrics Times have changed. Now you need a big ass and enough money to pay Sia to write crappy music for you.
Jason Newland Absolutely agree with you. There are songs from the 90s that will always be remembered, such as "Lovefool", "It's My Life" (Dr. Alban), "Beautiful Life", "Heave is a place on Earth (1987), "All that she wants", etc.
+connie rahim She's a famous song writer who writes songs for the typical modern pop singers like Rihanna, Beyonce, and Flo Rida. Essentially vapid non musical pop songs.
Sia now is mainstream pop, sure. But, she spent a lot of time in the indie scene writing incredibly personal music. She deserves her success and worked hard for it.
Every single generation criticizes the others music. In the 80s people hated the way music changed directions. Music changes and progresses, just because you heard a couple meaningless pop songs doesn't mean every musician in our generation sucks. Listen to Haim, Banks, Broods, or go to a music festival and listen to the newer artists. But don't just pass judgement without proper knowledge.
jid de haven’t heard anyone say that, but if they did, you’re right! There have been a few instances where the band were forced to mime to their songs, but it just depends on the show.
The guitar in this song is truly underrated.
She is really singing. No playback. Damn.
AMÉN AMÉN AMÉN!!!
When music was about music and not image
Used to be commonplace lol.
Conan always had the best music in the 90's.
+Adam Smith Deftones
Tu lo has dicho
agree
Dave Letterman too, but throughout the early 90s there was a dumb stipulation that the house band had to play along with the band. nothing against Paul Shaffer but some performances got pretty ridiculous.
The labels play for ir. It's an add spot
The Cardigans are the most underrated Swedish band ever 🇸🇪.
It’s 2021 and I have just realized how great this song is.
how old are you though lol
Late to the party is better than not making the party at all. This song has been a certified jam since I was a kid 20+ years ago. Keep finding music that shreds, regardless of age.
I am 12 years old and what is this?
2023 misma situación
This song is amazing and the fact that this was live
honestly she has the sexiest voice ever!!!
For me.....It's the dimples above her ass!
haha did you get that from the movie, the other guys? "great features"
Her eyes and smile
stclairstclair you mean her cheeks? the facial cheeks?
Her voice is entrancing
one of the best pop songs of the 90s... maybe ever. and damn they were a pretty tight band live.
The best in my opinion at least top 5
nice chords in this song
Why do I feel like I need a martini, a velvet couch, cheesy disco lighting, and a cigarette right now?
Nick Sloan what a vivid scenario bro.
i can’t believe this comment was 8 years and from 2012..... and not 2006.
@@ayden_james yeah man, time is flying fast.
Hell yeah
Do you really want to know the answer to that question? You won't like it.
Example of a perfect pop song
This live is exactly how they recorded it, no fluff at all
That chorus is killer
She has a true velvet voice. Unreal
90s teenager and only now in 2023 I’m appreciating these guys. They are incredible
She is really beautiful
best female singing voice so unique
Ahhhh Sweden. They had abba, no stranger to beautiful melodies.
Ace of Base
Swedish are masters of pop music.
That was beautiful
That guitar sound by the guy in beige shirt is bad ass
Just what I was thinking. He's solid.
Peter svensson is THE anchor of the cardigans. also he was really hot too
Back when pop songs were worth the paper they were written on.
there are SO many pop singers that are way better vocally now
Holy hell. I was actually at this taping. I feel ... so very old. D:
How old do you feel now
Oh really? Old enough now?
Really?
Seriously?

Much better performance, than in 2003 :) Amazing song!
one of the most perfect performances i ever seen
I love when she takes that gulp at the end before "youuuuu" 😙

It’s rough right now! We will pull through though. I’m enjoying old music too right now. I feel you my brotha.

Nina is such an underrated singer
And she's gorgeous
That voice. That look. Simply hot. ♡
She had me at...dimples. 🥰
Peter and his guitar
That song is still one of the greats of Pop songs... with staying power and broad appeal.
I love her look ☺
I love these parts of the song.

One of the best songs ever
That was so tight! Great Band
Great band, great songs on the first 3 albums.
Nina sounds beautiful and looks it too.
OMG what a voice.
Incredible .

Killer guitar playing. Ah, the days of actual instruments with no crap auto tune.
This is a great live version. A little tempo to it and solid
aww shes so pretty
she's voice very good

Her voice. Wow.
Kirsten Dunst doppelganger :O
TAEMIIIIIIIIIIIIN
Kirsten doesn't have those killer Dimples and Sparkling blue eyes needless to say she can't sing like her neither.
Both pretty, but they look nothing alike.
Oh my god... It wouldn't take much for her to look just like Kirsten Dunst
@@PeterHKwok how about Kristen Bell? (why we are on the Kristen look alikes)

Flawless live vocals damn!!!

She’s gorgeous and very talented but her drummer is THE sexiest man alive ❤️
