JDCR explains why he doesn't play Raven anymore but nonetheless still decided to take her for a spin on stream. He later goes on to say he still finds the character very fun & enjoys Raven's movement.

Preferably would not want to upload player streams on this channel, but its so rare to see JDCR play Raven these days & it is a learning experience to watch his playstyle. His Raven uses very little BT stuff, only going for a BT mixup after 4,1 / db2 punish. He focuses more heavily on movement. Also he is very comfortable engaging his opponent at range 0 & dissecting them with pokes similar to how his Drag plays.

Man JDCR is blunt as hell. I like him more now.
She looks way better
in future i would love clone characters to count as 1 slot so to speak even though they can function differently.
She looks a lil faster than Sysco Raven but why not differentiate them and have raven keep his move set while she gets a rebuffed slightly different style. Like what they did to king n armor king

i personally like that they changed raven into a female. tekken never had a black lady before.
Master Raven is way better with the Raven style too. She feels waaay more complete compared to raven.

Master Raven is a very underrated and unique character indeed, but to do very good with her you need to play very risky, because many of her moves end in her back turn where she's very vulnerable, you need to be very versatile and unpredictable with her, I mainly use her because she resemble Naruto characters in her fighting style and because of her unorthodox approach, for me she's B+ and maximum A in the right hands of use in the Tier List, because she's the type of High Risk-High Reward character. ☯️
She's actually very safe depending on how you decide to play her. Her WS+2 is a very fast mid (13 frames I think), safe on block, and it's range can easily be extended through the use of her sway (qcf), but it's also an extremely damaging counter-hit launcher. Literally, feel free to spam this move all you want if your movement and defense can back it up haha. There's no way you won't catch the opponent with a few counter-hits due to the speed and range of the move. She can also mix this up with either a heavy low (Full Crouch df+3+4), or a safer low like her full-crouch d+3. Definitely higher than B-tier, she's really really good and fun to play.

Oh absolutely. It kills me to think of the timeline where JDCR is out winning tournaments with Raven instead. There's so much we could learn from him

@@mehrankhan7871 He's simply not a fan of M.Raven's design....but he did say in this video that she's still very fun to play, so there's that at least.
