Yes it's Ashley Diane just as it looks. They are extremely professional and some of them have been singing together since middle school, which must be many years, as Geoff and Layne are now 41. So what, 30 years? If you like Geoff particularly he has his own channel, with low bass covers. You would probably like those too.
Great to see you reacting to Voice Play again! They do a great cover of "Little Mermaid Medley" with Geoff as a great Ursula. Their newest "Skyrim Dragonborn Comes" is fire!
Ashley (you said it right) was also in their cover of It I Were A Rich Man/Girl. They also did a mini on the same day off Surface Pressure, but so far it is only on Instagram and TikTok. The first time I watched this I was a little confused by Geoff’s wardrobe change. Then I realized he was Camilo the Shapeshifter and he was shifting into Bruno then Isabella and then back into Bruno. This is such a fun production. You can’t tell because he is seated, but Geoff is wearing pink shorts that match Ashley‘s since he’s playing a female lead there. Also the portion with the rose petals had to be filmed with everything going double speed so that when they slowed it down for the video the rose petals would be floating by rather than just blasting into their faces which is what really was happening🌸(To get the petals to move fast enough so they didn’t drop to the ground and also to get Ashley’s hair to flow like that they actually had to use not only a fan but a leaf blower!) But even with thise pink shorts, Cesar and Layne stole the show. Between Cesar’s facial expressions and reactions, and Layne not only beatboxing but rapping Dolores‘s lines and providing the bass line when Geoff was busy, they were a powerhouse. Just a reminder- no filter is needed for their work. They do not block reviewers as they are self produced. The copyright goes back to the band directly. On rare occasion the distributor will temporarily block but then release. I know that they did a video on Sony’s request once and some reviewers said they had a snag in that one.
It quickly became obvious that Geoff is really playing Camilo, the shapechanger. Bruno would not change shape. He wouldn't tell the story with Bruno depicted as some kind of monster.
They are fun. I think Rob Dietz, who is one of the 3 founders of A Capella Academy along with Avi Kaplan, arranged this for them. Geoff is great but sometimes the bass guys get all the love. The others are great too 🙂 For example Avi recently did a music video with Joy Williams. She is very interesting. Here is what she said about that. "Over a year ago, Avi Kaplan and I wrote All is Well in an afternoon at my publisher's home in Nashville. Some songs you have to wrestle to the ground to write; other songs ask that you bend an ear so you can pick them up. I'm so glad Avi and I sat down and chased this song together. I'm proud of All is Well and I'm also glad to say I got a friend by the end of that writing day, too. Cheering you on Avi. May this song fly far and wide! "Joy Williams In honor of the ladies perhaps you would look at Joy's music? A very well known one of hers is Front Porch. ruclips.net/video/ik2Fp3c5-2k/видео.html
Correction: Geoff and Layne together do about 95% of their arrangements. Rob Dietz did do their arrangement of We’re Good and I believe he also does their minis but it’s very unusual for them to go outside to get an arrangement. I am confused by your comment. You say that the bass gets all the love but there are other important people and then you discuss Avi. Bass singers are recently getting all the accolades but for most of my very long life it is all been about tenors.
@@janetdw actually in acapella it is basses because they are so rare. You don't hear them in pop or other musical genres much. Why can't I discuss a bass or the wonderful singer he sang with after making that comment? Perhaps you should listen to Joy yourself. So 95% are done in the band. That is true with all 3 of the big American acapella bands.
@ Gail Seaton Humbert, you seem very knowledgeable about Avi, but in this case, you are mistaken. There is a big difference between "I think" and " the fact is". Rob Dietz is fabulous but has nothing to do with this arrangement. Just read the info under the original video: Arrangement, Video and Direction: Layne Stein. VoicePlay never tries to get credit from others' work or deny their contribution. I think we can agree on that.
@@istvankovanecz8332 when you correct someone when they said "I think or I believe" meaning there is doubt don't gloat. Rob Dietz just completed an arrangement for them recently. He wrote in a post. I apparently have the wrong song. These groups and singers are very close to each other. It is a very small community of professional acapella singers.
VoicePlay is self managed, and they don't hassle reactors, you don't need to use screens to cover the video. No label.
mhm

Janet I didn’t know about the release for Sony. Do you know which one it was? I love all those kinds of details. Lol
Great reaction-and you have one heck of a great beard!!
Great reaction!

Vp want people to enjoy their music so don't block videos. They even provide lojks sometimes for the sheet music for people to use. X

I think you are the only reactor who covers or blurs VoicePlay videos. Makes me :(.

Yes, you pronounced Ashley's name correctly...she is Cesar's wife.
