I’ve never heard anything about this “rivalry.” You’d think playing against a team in the finals would create a rivalry but I dont honestly think it works like that
The spurs aren’t brining in 3 rookies going into next season. We will likely draft with the highest pick and trade the other 2 picks for future 1st rounders or make a big move
I think if you revisit this or talk about trades in the future lives, please bring up how we have the expansion draft in the future as well to think about whenever that happens
I think the spurs are solid as is. Wemby will get better in year 3 and steph will get better in year 2. If that happens and everyone stays healthy than well be a top 4 team in the west.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but Atlanta is only going up from here, Trae is having a relatively down year and the east is looking like it's going to be mediocre for awhile, the Hawks have beaten a TON of very good teams this year while also losing to some bad ones, this suggests they are good but undisciplined, and that is not good for our Spurs as that means they can and probably will figure it out. Dyson Daniels is VERY good and under contract, he surprised me big and would probably be the DPOY if Vic didn't exist. Risachre is a very solid rookie and defender, he's top 5 in ROTY voting and should only get better, and let's also not forget how much of a STUD Jalen Johnson is. They still have decent shooting, and they still have good bigs... I think we were all a little to quick to count those Atlanta picks as great lottery picks. IMO I think we should sell high while the picks still have pretty great value and when those picks end up being decent role players while we have a star like Lamelo or Trae, I think we still come out big winners.
I don't think we should trade until after this draft but after that we definitely should. Say this cause we need better depth, our guards outside Castle, DV, Jones ain't it. Doncic would be my number one target but since they winning alot now doubt that happens. Injuries are more prevalent now than they used to be but we should also not pay the stars and moon for any of these players. Three first is about right, throw in a second or two maybe. 1. Tyrese Haliburton (Young, more efficient than Ball on offense) 2. Lamelo Ball (Young, has size, good on offense ok on defense) 3. Cade Cunningham (Young, good all around player) 4. De'aron Fox (Older, but really good on offense and slightly improved on defense)
The Spurs won't need all these picks as they will become a NBA top10 team each year. The probability to get a top player with a pick between 20th and 30th is very low. The "Spurs own" picks will be able to be used for trades purpose. However I don't think that this trade deadline is the best moment for the Spurs to make moves. The Spurs are not playing anything this year, except growing in term of number of wins. As the western conference is tough, there are few chances to take the last place of the playin... And I am not really sure either that this summer is the moment to make moves. Let's grow with this core of young players (Wemby, Castle, Vassel and Sochan) for two more years. But start to attract good veterans on the frontcourt spots (for the second unit) in order to avoid Zach Collins to play in 2025. Let's move in 2026 to become a real playoff actor (conference semi-final or final).
his numbers arent that great.. scoring 31 points on 25 shots per game, 12 of them from deep, is not that impressive + this dude plays less defense then LeBron.
Severely injury prone and does not fit the Spurs culture. Would be intriguing if we didn’t have Castle but I’ll take Castle any day of the week looking at long term
I can guarantee the spurs will not keep all the picks in this draft. We probably only keep 1 pick. So I would trade all the picks for melo and vassell and kj.
Think about how tall our team could be with lamelo tho😭 a 7"5 center and a 6"7 pg? Melo isnt some great defender but the length of a team like that would be disruptive if nothing else
Ngl trae young would revive our knicks rivalries
Lol what Knick rivalry?
Sux that we only would play twice a yrv though
I’ve never heard anything about this “rivalry.” You’d think playing against a team in the finals would create a rivalry but I dont honestly think it works like that
Id like Trae young or Deaaron Fox , Ball would be worth it tho
1:06 I thought you were making analogy about Castle 😂
lol I see what you mean 😂😂

They gone fleece us in the deal.

You said we needed scoring the other day this would be it. Also a great passer and floor general.

No thanks , the guy is super injury prone

It’s no coincidence that LaMelo AND Lonzo have had multiple serious leg and feet problems.
#daddysbigballershoes/defective
Wemby and lamelo my 2 favorite players in the nba this would be a fire combo as long as lamelo stays healthy and actually tries to play defense
Yeah, that’s why I wouldn’t want that trade. Castle plays defense, and would share the ball with wemby
Lamelo on the spurs would be dope
For about 30 games
his numbers arent that great.. scoring 31 points on 25 shots per game, 12 of them from deep, is not that impressive + this dude plays less defense then LeBron.
Melo is a bit too injury prone. So I'll pass
I like it, I just question why Hornets would do it tbh
Why do we do this, we know it’s the spurs right, we ain’t doing a dam thing come deadline
Ball is super injury prone , is paid too much and shoots 25x a game on low percentage. Hard pass.
TO THE AUTHOR OF THIS VIDEO,... CLAN,...
LAMELO COMING TO THE SPURS FOR WHOM???
10 seconds ago lol whaddup Clan
Hornets would be brain dead to do that
Severely injury prone and does not fit the Spurs culture. Would be intriguing if we didn’t have Castle but I’ll take Castle any day of the week looking at long term
I'd rather have cam johnson who can shoot
Spurs are soft tanking. There is no way they are falling out of top ten 2025 draft now that Atlanta seems pretty good.
We need lamelo why cause he can ball and he will smoke all of you in a juan on juan. 😂
He is spurs material? (Real question). No sure of that.
injury prone. hard pass
Thanks but no thanks
I can guarantee the spurs will not keep all the picks in this draft. We probably only keep 1 pick. So I would trade all the picks for melo and vassell and kj.
Move melo to sg and castle to pg
casual ball knowledge
Spurs need Trae Young
No thank you 😭
@ oh bc the spurs are making the playoffs right … 😂
I wanna see this !!!!!! WemBallyama 🏀
Nah.
