OH MY GOODNESS!!!! We found you! ❤ You were so gracious and sat with us in Hawaii on your dock (by your boat), visiting for about 2 hours, 5 years ago at this time (Feb). You changed our life! We are now gearing up for OUR retirement with our 54’ boat because you were so encouraging!!! We think about you both often and still have the pictures of you guys holding the magazine you were featured in! Thank you for giving your time to us….we so appreciated it!!!! John and Ashli.
Met Larry and Mary on a transatlantic cruise last month and they were such a delight! Their love for the boat life, their love for one another, their zest for life was incredibly inspiring! So glad I found this video! Warms my heart just to see their faces again!
What a charming couple...love her explanation if how they dedicated their time to learning / researching everything about their boat and their journeys...wish them both much more joy and happiness!
Found your video when researching Trawlers. We are at the stage you were at more than 5 years ago.We have already decided that a Trawler will be our boat and intend to travel the same kind of distances from here in Brazil. We hope to have all the great experiences you have had over the years. Thank you for posting
You are "living the dream". Specifically, you are living MY dream! LOL! You are rightly proud of your nautical exploits and diligence in learning ship-handling and systems, navigation and so forth. Wishing you every joy of it, and say "Hello!" to Juneau for me!
You put a smile on my face... I will have to work for about 20 more years but seeing that my dreams are being lived, inspires me to go on! I wish you all the best and many more years of safe and happy cruising! Greetings from Europe
Thank you larry & mary for a real interesting story on your experiences on board "NO PLANS" you make me feel envious of you both, but please keep up your adventures and let us all know of your adventures. good luck and god bless from the philippines. ( I'm an Australian living in the philippines ).
People like this and their stories are making us think real hard about the "Trawler Lifestyle". While a vintage Ta Shing Baba is nice, as is a Lagoon 420, take us anywhere in the world boats, we think this may be our last "type" boat. We don't need more than 48' (or even less), knowing more means more work. and there lies the thought. These boats simply don't seem to require the work we have to put forth in the sailing world. Better for us as we age. Another great couple on a great boat.
What a great couple! I had a smile watching this entire video. These customer interviews are Nordhavn's best sales tools. By the way, at 0:08 someone at Nordhavn may want to change the spelling of "wonerful" .
What a great video. 👍 Bummer it's from Nordhavn and not The Masons. I wonder if, TEN years later they are still at it. I hope so it looks like they are leading a blessed life. 😊
Hi Guys. Love your video. We are bringing our Gulfstar 44 Trawler to the med next May. We too are crossing the Atlantic aboard Yacht Express from Port Everglades to Genoa in Italy. Have you any advice as to where the best locations are to winter Silver Lining? We are from Ireland but bought our boat in New York a couple of years ago. Travelling down the ICW we have just wintered in St John's River south of Jacksonville. We are looking forward to seeing a lot of places you have mentioned on your video. Anyway have a great time cruising and maybe one day we may meet on a distant shore. Sean and Mairit
love this video what an inspirational couple. At 7.34 there is a photo of portofino harbour. What is the aircraft in the top right hand side of the picture? Helicoptor??? looks very strange.
WOW! Just saw you on RUclips! This is 2019!. Was that Rifle, Co. on your stern?? I lived there from 77 to 99! You look familiar. please reply, if you can!!!
So did you ship No Plans back across the Atlantic to America, or did you "drive" it back?! I see this video is old, so you have probably been back and forth on your own a few times. Good for you. And for all I, a total non-boater know, perhaps you do "drive" an engine-powered Nordhavn.
Hi folks!! loved the video, and would really!!!!! like to talk with either one of you! wife and I are 68-69l live in the mountains of NC and entertain buying a motor yacht esp. the Nordhavn hope i hear from you all and will then give out my email address
