Iain scoular has been seen at the site of where he murdered his second victim Elizabeth Walton since his release more than once, they say killers always go back to the scene of the crime and scoular has been doing that! He should never have been released! It's crazy they let this man out of prison.
I was a teenager living in Cambuslang at the time of these murders and I can remember how shocking it was to the local people and how everyone was being extra vigilant. When the identity of the murderer was revealed folk couldn’t believe it was a local man, someone who’d joined in discussions in the local pub speculating who the monster was!
Iain scoular family owned a shop in cambuslang Main Street opposite where the Costa coffee is now. It was demolished in the 60s when one side of the street was knocked down there was also a scoular blacksmith’s at the terminus further up the street
Was 7 when this happened in Cambuslang but too young to remember it but will ask my dad if he remembers it as he would have only been a couple of years older than iain scoular himself.
He used to work with me 3-4 years ago, he was a branch assistant in Broxburn he seemed very strange but never thought he was a murderer scary just proves u never truly know someone
I knew Ian and worked with him whilst he was being questioned by police and had a few quiet chats with him and he always insisted on his innocence, I am not sure if he did it or not ??????? 😮
I remember it yeah i was only 11 it was big local news, n as the other comment's said he's been out for a few years...mite be deed noo ...... Hi cuz 👍🏻
I spoke to Iain Scoular about 10 years ago when I worked for a recruitment agency and he was looking for a role as a forklift driver - I questioned the gap in his CV (when he was in jail) and he just outright told me he was in jail, I asked what for and he said it was murder but it was complicated. Needless to say; he didn't get the job!
Hi, your research on this is exceptional as is your professional presentation. Its always a nice touch to include information about the locations, roads etc. You're correct to say there's not much about it overall. Thanks for taking the time and effort to produce your video.
Also, with Cambuslang never having a town hall would make it the largest village in Scotland. At least it was back in the late 60's early 70's i believe.

I lived in Stewarton Drive at the time and was not surprised when he was convicted.
I hope you enjoyed the episode! What did you make of this case??
I'm Scottish and never heard of this case before so well researched!!
Thank you so much! There's minimal information available online so I had to dig deep into the newspaper archives to research this one.
Another brilliant episode! I hasn’t heard of this one before. Hope you’re enjoying this fine UK weather we’re having, Stuart! ✨🌞
Glad you enjoyed it! I’m loving the weather (when it’s not chucking down! 😂)

My mum went on a date with him and he asked to see her again, she never showed up for the second date. TFFT !!!
No way! Good on her, she must have felt a bad vibe from him.
Subbed!
Will you consider covering Mitchell Quy?
Thank you! I've just now added that case to my episode spreadsheet to cover in a future episode. Cheers for the suggestion.

Thank you for saying that. I really appreciate it.
Cambuslang is not a town it is a village fact

I’ll take your word for it. Everywhere I searched refers to it as a town but if it’s a village, it’s a village.
It hasn’t got a town hall
@@roundgreenthing it is a mining village I was born in the halfway village fact
@@britishmurders Sorry i was not nit picking at your video. Just making a intresting little known factoid.
